Hello everyone. We had easy experience at interview. I was there with fiancee at the interview. Filipino interview only asked how I enjoyed the flood from few days before. American interview only asked how many times I visit the Philippines. They did not ask my fiancee any questions. Overall they were helpful. Before our interviews we submitted our documents and they were prescreen for errors. We had couple small errors and they were very helpful and nice to help correct errors.

embassy interview = typical - as all others have done =go early & wait= then finally the interview takes place - now !!= the interviewer did ask a lot of questions -most all about the relationship, and about what my fiancee knew about me!! my life ? That proves the fiancee knows about my life where i live and what my hobbies are & work is . He asked about weather she will work here & ask about her education also. Many questions were asked even about our age differences. Basically just always know as much as u can about the fiancee, and about his life , friends names & such too. Dont lie be honest and truthful- all will go fine too! we did get approved & my fiancee will fly to usa in a month!! We are extremely happy as all who will be when the process is over!! Thanx to VJ for the site & all who use it too.

Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

My Husband and I got the NOA1 last march and it has been 5mos now and still we have not received any updates re our petition from the USCIS. I just want to know how long will it takes before we can receive the approval from them. my husband hired an immigration lawyer to file the petition for us coz he's kinda busy at work an they said that maybe we can get the result before end of this year or early next year. is true?

I had my interview last August 07, 2013.
Everything went well during my interview. The American consul only asked few basic questions regarding me and my husband relationship, his job and address.
I picked up my visa within 3 business days only. It was quick. Thank you Lord, to You I bring back all the glory. ('')('')
Thank you VJ for this very informative site.
God bless for those who will have their coming interview. All I can say is try to relax, be prepared, pray and lift to God the rest. Don't forget to wear your smile.

I scheduled my interview appointment originally August 26th, but decided to change it to August 12th 07:30 AM (you can only change twice if more contact USEM Call center service).

06:00 a.m.
Arrived in USEM (US Embassy of Manila) and since it's Monday, there's already a long line, I think I was 15th to 20th in line.

06:20 a.m.
They started to gather us in front of the USEM, then the greeter or pre-screener (whatever you may call them) asked us to bring out passport, DS-156, DS 156K, and DS-157 and make sure to fill-out ALL Blanks with NONE or N/A. Not following instructions will result into re-scheduling of appointment! That was terror!!

When we finally get to the line to hand those documents to the pre-screeners, it turned out I became 9th to 12th in line as a lot of K1 applicants in the front made mistakes in filling out forms. I guess they were not reading guidelines from support websites like VJ forums :-D
