My Interview Experience - USEM - February 6, 2014
5:00 - I walked from the hotel to US embassy - 5mins walk I think, I rented a chair for 30 pesos, we were waiting near the footbridge outside the embassy. While waiting I chatted with some k1 applicants. There were vendors selling cigarettes, ball pens, coffee, some were offering to have 2x2 sized pictures if you don't have them yet. There's also a small canteen inside the embassy.
6:15 - k1 applicants were called to go near the tent we were instructed to prepare the DS-160, appointment letter and passport, d greeter gave me a ziplock bag where the passport will be placed, she asked me if I'm pregnant (I don't know why she asked me that) I said no I'm not pregnant, she placed a sticker on the back of my passport which has my name, and barcode number. There were lots of people already, you will go through the X-ray machine, remember no electronic gadgets allowed, you will go out to another door that will lea... read complete review

My fiancee went through the interview process on January 25, 2014 at the US Embassy in Manila. She said she talked with 3 interviewers and they were all asked easy and simple questions. She said the last interviewer was american. The first two were pretty strict but the last interviewer was pretty nice. She said the whole process took her about 8 hrs..including waiting and all that. The last interviewer asked her if she had any questions... and she asked if she was approved and he said "yes" and he gave her a white piece of paper that says something about being aware of domestic violence as a foreigner. And also told her to wait for the visa to arrive in the mail with her passport. That was it. The questions that were asked were, how much money does your fiance make, whats his name, how old is he and simple stuff like that.

As everyone said..IT went all smoothly. The only thing that made it hard is us stressing ourselves thinking if we will be approved or denied..But it was so easy, if you submitted and prepared the right papers, everything should be fine. The American consul was so nice and was just 2 minutes talking her, she also talked to my fiance cause he was with me.
good luck everyone !We are approved and just waiting for our visa now, and our case status says "Issued".

My interview went very smooth... I arrived at the embassy around 04:15H; I was 5th in the line. We were ushered to go inside at around 06:35H
A girl from 2Go was getting our appointment letter and our passport. She gave it back to me with a zip lock. My number was #6123 & was ask to drop the confirmation letter & DS160 to window 39. When I ask the filipino lady who gave me the number about the instruction on my email from the embassy that I should proceed to window 38 as my date of appointment was waived; she responded sarcastically "just listen to the instruction." I thought ***wtf I was just asking. Anyway I choose to ignore here and proceeded to the interview waiting area and a nice filipino lady (with 2Go ID) ask for our documents as she will be the one to forward to window 39; I ask her about my email instruction; she said; it's fine sir window 38 & 39 are the same. So we waited.
At 09:15H my number was flashed and I was asked to do my finger scan. Th... read complete review
