We all know that it is very hard to passed the interview at the Manila, Embassy. During my time, I prayed to God every now and then. Every steps of the process, I always asked God for guiding me in answering the questions correctly and appropriately to avoid being denied. It was really a long process before my final interview. I was lucky that my interviewer just asked me simple questions which I knew about my fiance (spouse now) . He just asked me the emergency # to be dialed here in the USA, my full name and birthdate as well as my spouse birth date, my address when I arrived, then how did we met and when our relationship start, then my spouse favorite actor, then what do I like her, and how did she became a US citizen then lastly showing our pictures together. After everything, He smiled and said, you prepare for the winter because it is very cold there! We laughed each other then he thumbs up and said "YOu'RE Approved!"..

Others consulate officers were nice others were not especially the Korean officer. she rolls her eyes every time I answer her even if it was nicely. But oh well I got approved. I'd still rate it as good experience though. I know they were just doing their job.

I am writing this based on what my fiance told me. She got there early in the morning to lineup. We heard that it could be a long day. Once they opened the door she was done in less than an hour. The people were are very friendly and positive. She had all of her supporting evidence with but was not asked to produce it. The interview itself was about 5 minutes. For all of our anxiety it was a very easy process.

The Consulate was very systematic. There were clear instructions what window to go next after the other. There are 5 windows to go through biometrics then initial interview and lastly is the final interview. Consuls are very kind and polite. They only asked for my Birth certificate, CENOMAR and NBI (Criminal Investigation Report). Then asked 3 questions about my fiance and she said you are good to go. I gave a rating of 4 being 5 as the highest because of my experience regarding RFE, I was under 221g meaning I have the lacking documents. During USCIS stage we were RFE because my fiance forgot to answer the questions regarding criminal records. We responded to that RFE on May 23, 2015 and we got approved on June 19, 2015. Not knowing that USCIS forgot to include our response in the packet, NVC immediately mailed our packet to Manila Consulate without it. The consuls asked for it, good thing we reproduced everything we submitted to them. Visa was delayed for a bit but still a very good e... read complete review
