Hi all! I am posting a review here on behalf of my parents who recently had their interview. This review is solely base on my mom's and dad's recollection of events. Anyway, here it goes:
My sister dropped them off at the USEM around 0410. True enough, there was already a large number of people waiting outside the embassy for their interview. I remember mine 10 years ago when I also had my interview at the embassy. They didn't open the gate until 0600. I would say a lot of things had changed since I got interviewed at the embassy. According to my parents, they now segregate people according to their time of interview (I don't remember anything about segregating people before). They told me that someone checks your interview letter and your DS260 confirmation page. I don't think they work for the embassy though. Just people who want to help I guess. Our K-1 Visa Interview went SUPER smoothly, with verrrrry minimal questioning (probably because we BOTH showed up for the interview (not just the Philippines fiancée)). We lined up waaaay early outside (around 4:30AM and there were already over a hundred people waiting in various lines). They allowed entry into the Embassy complex around 7:30AM. Pleasant and helpful Embassy personnel.
