Fear of the unknown...yep! I was totally nervous on the day of my interview. I was alone but i didn't mind. I was at the site an hour before my appointment time coz i read in some blogs that they let applicants inside 30mins before the actual time. Inside, i still had to wait til my assigned number is called. I remember going to 5 windows. 1st window is for giving of personal info (name, fiance name, address in US etc). 2nd window is for biometrics and preliminary interview about the petition like how long have we known each other. It felt like the actual interview lol. 3rd window is for oathtaking. 4th is the real CO interview (guess what? My CO was also the one who took my oath).. Consuls rotate once in awhile.. anyway, she asked how we met... showed her photos of me and my fiance in a photobook and she said pick 3 pics that i like the best..asked if i have ever overstayed when i am out of the country... The interview just lasted for less than 5mins. Then she handed me a pamphlet abo... read complete review

Long day for Gena. Appointment time was 7:30AM but because she arrived at 7:00am she got a late number and didn't get final interview until late afternoon. She had a interviewer for her in Tagalog because her English is not very strong. The only question that the interviewer seemed upset with was "What are his hobbies?... Answer: Photography"... apparently because I only had one real hobby...???... But she passed and had no major problems although the questions were quite thorough... more than others we had talked to.

My partner's interview was February 5, 2016 @ 7:30 am. He was in line at 5:00 am. Lining up was pretty routine. One thing he did notice was that there were a few Asian CO's (Korean?) that were denying fiancees left and right. He also said there was a lot of crying.

My partner said his interview was very easy and fast. He was asked 4-5 questions which were all about me. He had over 2,000 pages of correspondences, pictures, receipts, airline tickets, etc. CO only commented on petition being same sex before saying "approved"

CO asked him the questions and said: "Welcome to the United States of America" John was all smiles and back at hotel by 1pm. As of today (2/11/16) my partner's birthday we are in AP. I pray that we are not in AP long. We had a 2 month set back and it has been 1 year.

John Rex prepared himself EXTREMELY well, even knowing my parent's birth dates and death dates and my summary of dissolution from 1987.
