We completed our interview on March 29, 2016 at Manila, Philippines consulate. Overall, I thought it was an exciting experience. We were not worried at all and went into the place nervous/exited, but happy and confident. Approved.
We started that day by waking up at 3 am, quickly dressing and arriving at the embassy at around 4 am. I thought for sure that we would be one of the first to arrive. LOL, I forgot that this is the Philippines! Always a long line everywhere, no matter what time you show up. There were probably already 50-100 people there waiting when we were dropped off by the cab. Since we stayed at Hotel H2O for two days so we could be close to the embassy, the cab ride was very short and we only took it so we would not be sweaty when we had our interview.
After a couple of hours we were called to line up according to our visa. We had one of the earlier times scheduled so we made sure that we found our way near the front of the k1 visa line. T... read complete review

"CONGRATULATIONS! YOUR VISA IS APPROVED!"
Appointment Date & Time: August 16, 2016; 6:45a.m.
I was outside the U.S. Embassy at 6:25 and asked the guard right away where to fall in line. He told me to line up in the tent with number "5" for initial entry. There were 1,2,3,4 and 5 line. K1 visa and other immigrant visa applicants are lined in #5 first. I guess they let the first batch in, that's why we were waiting outside for a couple of minutes.
-6:45 I reached the lady who checks the appointment confirmation page, DS 160 confirmation page and passport. (NOTE: ONLY THE FIRST PAGES OF DS160 and APPT. CONFIRMATION ARE TO BE SUBMITTED AND REMOVE YOUR PASSPORT JACKET) She checked my name and put my barcode sticker (it has my name) at the back of my passport and placed it inside a ziplock and gave them back to me. She then asked me to fall in line to the line 4. This is another line to where we will wait until the next batch will be called to enter the building.

According to my husband, a lot of waiting. When it came to the last interview, he was next but with a guy that seemed strict so he let someone in the back go before him until he got a guy who seemed nice. The interview asked one question of who my parents names are. Then asked if it was hard to be away from me and then he got approved! There are two that are strict and ask a lot of questions and two that were friendly, patient, and ask few questions. Over all he was in and out for 2 hours. javascript:emoticon(' ')
