My husband's interview was scheduled for 6:45AM. He arrived rather early (around 5AM) and found that there were a lot of people in line already. At around 6:30 he entered the embassy. Everything went very smoothly and quickly.
During his pre-interview, the Filipino consul asked for the original copies of his civil documents (birth certificate, NBI clearance, marriage certificate), his CEMAR, my CEMAR (it was a good thing I had told him to retrieve mine as well because I had read here on VJ about people receiving 221g for it), and pictures of us. Very Friendly staff, We were only asked some basic questions, our daughter was the icing on the cake when shown pictures. She got sprinkles on her ice cream for that!

The interview was fast. I arrived there around 6 AM for my 8 AM appointment. We were in line for about 30 minutes to an hour outside while waiting for the embassy to open. The process inside was quick and orderly. I was out of the establishment around quarter to 10 so overall, it was a very good experience.

We had a great experience at the US Consulate, Manila. I wanted to make sure I was there with my fiance so I flew from California a few days before. The day of the interview we arrived around 6:45am. Our appointment was for 7:30am. You should get dropped off at the designated drop off/pick up area on Roxas Ave. This is just a little past the entry to the consulate. Once there we moved into the area where the lines were forming. A guard checked bags and credentials. Look for the sign that has your appointment time and get in that line. Once it was 7:30 they moved us to another area closer to the entrance. There they checked our credentials and sent us to either the US Citizen door or the Foreigner Door. We were separated at this point. US Citizens were allowed to bring their cell phones in through the US Citizen door. Once there I left my ID (Drivers license) and our cell phones with the guard. They will give you a ticket to claim them later. After passing through the metal detector and... read complete review
