Review Topic: General Review

My fiance's interview was on 08 November 2016, at 0645hours. i attended the interview with her, and we arrived at the embassy a little after 0600hrs. The overall process and operation went very smoothly and quickly. We were approved, in and out of the embassy by 0900hrs. The CO did not ask to see any paperwork, no documents...pictures...financials...nothing...

BUT we did have problems..my fiance was nervous, couldn't talk above a whisper, and the CO couldn't hear her or understand a word she was saying.

The CO asked her twice if she want a interpreter, and then he finally got a interpreter on his own volition.

With the interpreter on hand....the very 5 basic questions he wanted answers to were answered.

The CO was frustrated...I was HOT at her....and she was emotional wreck.

But, we was approved.....

Overall, I was very pleased in the way the situation was handle,..I think the embassy and the C... read complete review

Relaying this info from my partner Zian as I, the USC, did not attend the interview. So sorry if it's a little lacking in specifics.

He arrived at the embassy around 6:45am for a 7:30am interview.

He went through 3 different stages inside the embassy(biometrics and two other stations where he was asked a couple basic questions about me the petitioner).

In total he waited about 4 hours to get into the actual interview where the CO basically asked him a lot of questions about me, the petitoner, like where I lived when we met, where I live now, what we did in the hotel together when I was seeing him in the Philippines(somewhat of an akward question perhaps). Then after about 10 minutes the CO told him he was approved and kept his passport.

Only odd thing, in a way, was the CO nor the embassy in general ever asked for any of the financial documents(I-134, W2's, letter from employer, pay stubs) or anything. He had them but they nev... read complete review

Review Topic: Direct Consular Filing

Filed our petition at the Embassy in Manila.
They are very organized.
They were very professional and friendly.
If you qualify for direct consular filing, we would definitely recommend doing so.

Review Topic: K1 Visa

Overall, the interview process went smoothly and took about three hours. I was informed my visa was approved at the end of the interview.

Before going to the U.S. embassy, make sure you have all your documents ready and in order. I recommend dressing like you’re going to a job interview. Leave all gadgets at home – cellphones, USB, iPads/tablets, smartwatches, lighters, and all electronic devices are strictly prohibited. If you absolutely need to bring these items to the embassy, be prepared to pay P100 per item (you can haggle if you have multiple items) to vendors outside the embassy that will hold your item(s) for you. If you arrive early for your appointment (which is recommended), be aware there is no seating outside the embassy. There are chairs available for rent just outside the embassy for P30 per chair.

My appointment was scheduled at 9:00 a.m. and I arrived at the embassy three hours before my appointment. (I don’t suggest ... read complete review
