The interview was fast. I arrived there around 6 AM for my 8 AM appointment. We were in line for about 30 minutes to an hour outside while waiting for the embassy to open. The process inside was quick and orderly. I was out of the establishment around quarter to 10 so overall, it was a very good experience.

We had a great experience at the US Consulate, Manila. I wanted to make sure I was there with my fiance so I flew from California a few days before. The day of the interview we arrived around 6:45am. Our appointment was for 7:30am. You should get dropped off at the designated drop off/pick up area on Roxas Ave. This is just a little past the entry to the consulate. Once there we moved into the area where the lines were forming. A guard checked bags and credentials. Look for the sign that has your appointment time and get in that line. Once it was 7:30 they moved us to another area closer to the entrance. There they checked our credentials and sent us to either the US Citizen door or the Foreigner Door. We were separated at this point. US Citizens were allowed to bring their cell phones in through the US Citizen door. Once there I left my ID (Drivers license) and our cell phones with the guard. They will give you a ticket to claim them later. After passing through the metal detector and... read complete review

Interview was on the 13th of October, 0645H. Took only 15 minutes from data entry, pre-screening and finger scanning (not including the waiting in line). Final interview with the American Consul didn't take 5 mins. It was more of conversation than interrogation. No documents were asked. Was out of the building by 08OOH.

Appointment was scheduled for 6:45 am. She arrived about 6:15. I (the USC), was not able to be there for the interview.
The process is very organized and efficient. They requested the Cenomar, NBI Clearance and birth certificate, and asked our names and how we met.
When is was time for the interview with the Consular Officer, she only asked what the petiioner's job is, and how we first met.
The whole process took less than 1 hour and 15 minutes.
