Well we got there on time for the interview, it was at 1pm, but Ricardo didn't get interviewed until about 2:45. The interview is not in a separate room, it's at a window (kind of like how you buy movie tickets), and the interview is in Spanish. Ricardo tried to say a few words in english to see if the interviewer would change but she kept doing it in Spanish. Anyways they asked him very detailed questions on how we met, how old we were when we met, and things like where i go to school where do I live and since my mom is a co-sponsor they asked him questions about her too. The interview was about 20 minutes tops but they asked him one question after another, I'm so proud of him for remembering everything! Since he didn't have his Record Policivo and Carta de Solteria ready (Panama is very slow in getting these documents) they told him to come back with those documents and his passport. So all in all if you have all your documents ready, and you can answer the questions yo... read complete review

Overall, we were treated well in the Embassy. However, we had to wait for almost 4 hours before they called us to the window. They reviewed the forms, and then told us to wait for the Consul interview. We waited another hour, and finally got the interview, only to be told that we needed 1 more document. We returned the next day with the required document, and were told to wait for them to call us, which on this date, August 2, 2007, they still have not done yet. We have called the Consulate and they only tell us that we need to wait for them to call us; they also stated that they could not give any estimate of when the visa might be approved. While we were never treated rudely, we are just frustrated with the bureaucratic process of this all!

Our experience was quite good at the consulate, starting from when Carlos went to pick up his packet 3, they were always very nice and processed things quickly. The good thing abot Panama is you can go pick up and drop off things yourself instead of having to wait on couriers and mail service.

For the K1 visa we had 1pm appointment, along with other people it seems. We got there at 12, and the officer at the door told us we were the 1st ones but had to wait till 1pm to come in. At 1pm he called and made sure we were at the front of the line. We got our ticket, then the lady inside called for our ticket, and other applicants were still coming in. She took all of our necessary paperwork and then turned it in, and made another call for everyone to come and turn in their numbers, then called them up one by one to take the documents. We were there waiting till 245 when the CO called us up for the interview. We were the first ones, and he was really really nice. He looked over... read complete review
