Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

My husband's interview was March 1st at 7 am. We arrived at the bus shuttle about 6:30 am and paid for the executive lounge and car. We arrived at the embassy about 6:50 and stood in line waiting outside to be let in. They started to let people in about 7am. They look at your interview letter and print out a number for you. The first window they called him to, was to handover the interview letter. The 2nd window was for his medical and original documents. The 3rd window is for the interview. I did go up with him to this window. We had a CO that wasn't super friendly and was just straight to the point. He asked these questions: Who is calling you? How did you meet? Tell me about this mutual friend? Was he helping you find a wife in America? He asked me what I did for work and when I converted to Islam. Then he told me to have a seat. He asked my husband some more questions, I'm not exactly sure everything he asked. My husband did his interview in English but I could hear that they had t... read complete review

Review Topic: Waiver/Admin Review

Really annoying experience as my case is under adminstrative processing since January 2016. And this state of the case makes us helpless.

Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

My wife was scheduled for 7 am, she reached the embassy at 6 am. the gates were not open at that time. Around 6:30, the gates were opened and she told me there was no organized way of lines so it was first come first serve thing so everyone ran in an uncivilized manner to get the first spot. Finally she reached the spot after security checks to get the token for the shuttle which is 1000 rs. Shuttle takes you to the main embassy building. there you have to wait for your number to come on the appropriate window. the first window was for her to show her passport, original Nikah nama, English translation, and they give back everything and after that they will call you again for the second window, here they will ask for the passport, appointment letter and 2 pictures 2x2, they will give back passport and take finger prints, then in third window, you will give your passport, medical results, original Nikah nama and birth certificate, they will keep all that and put it in the folder for the ... read complete review

Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

I had my interview scheduled for 8.30 am, i reached the embassy enclave around 7.15 - took a cab (cost: 1000Rs) and reached around 7.35ish at the US Embassy. They do all the security checks and then had to wait around 11.30-12 for my turn. The officer asked me A LOT of questions since I had already been to US on visit visa, then student and then I also worked in US on my work visa. He asked me a lot of questions related to that. For wedding related, he asked me how I met my husband, how do I know him, where was our wedding?, how many times has he visited and saw the pictures.

I suppose my interview was a little longer than normal because of all my trips to the US, otherwise it seemed pretty straight forward and its quiet easy if your documentation if CORRECT! After the interview the officer told me my visa is approved and I should get in 5-10 days. However, on the fifth day Embassy emailed and asked for 2x2 pictures of me (I am guessing because the one I submitted might... read complete review
