I got to the embassy by 6.45 am for my 10:00a.m interview; I had a pull behind bag with loads of evidence in it. When I approached the gate I was told by security that I will not be allowed to go in with the box, so they asked me to remove all the documents in the box and carry them in my hand, then they showed me to one alhaji whom I paid 400naira to kip my bag, phone and other stuff, I realized most people had very few documents with them and they all kept looking at me funny and some of them were even laughing at me and passing silly comments, I just didn’t answer them but kept wondering how I would carry two big albums plus so many other documents like emails and phone records. Fortunately for me(this was God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit at work) I had dis nylon bag dat I bought on my way from my medicals last week to put my xray in and take it home, what I did when I got home was remove the xray from the nylon bag, leave it at home and then I folded the nylon and put ... read complete review

My fiance's visa was approved today, and I owe all the thanks to Jesus! We worked really hard to put all the documents together, gathered as much evidence as we could, and were lucky to have a dependable family member to be the co sponsor for the affidavit of support. But being that we were going through Lagos embassy and considering the unfortunate circumstances of other VJ members, I was always worried that the CO would be too picky. I thank God that everything went smoothly. One thing I have read on VJ and that I believe is true is that it seems the CO has already decided if he or she would approve the visa even before the interview. As such, one of the things that made me nervous is that I did not front load my petition to USCIS and I read many posts about how front loading makes the interview much easier. I followed the VJ guideline for filing the petition, which did not advice that people going through tough embassies like Lagos should front load. Thankfully, front loading didn't... read complete review

I am very thankful to God for his blessings this morning. I am thankful to my VJ family for the emotional support, words of wisdom, testimonies and additional advice I have been given during this process.
I recommend to anyone doing this process to front load your application with as much information as possible that proves your relationship. I believe that this was one of the key factors to being approved. Be prepared and discuss everything with our spouse or fiancee including the day- to- day happenings in your life. You never know what the CO may ask and how one question may lead to another. However, we think that the Embassy already knows if the visa is approved before the interview and that the interview is just a formality and at times it seems like a test.
I spoke to my husband last night (my time) before he got dressed and then he text me when he arrived at the embassy. That made me feel a little more calm knowing that he did not over sleep (did not sleep at all... read complete review

I will like to give a very big tanx to God,the people behind VisaJourney and fellow vjers......THANK YOU!
My K1 journey was made so easy as a result of What I have learnt on this site.
I was scheduled for 7am on Monday 14 2013 and In less than four minute of interview I was approved.
I hope the following tips would help other people that are still on this journey.
Make sure you stay in a location closer to the consulate the night before the interview,if you dont have a place on the island ,stay in an hotel like I did.
Leave your phone, powder, cream and any battery operated gadget at home unless you have someone in your company to keep the items for you------no mercy you will be sent back if caught with any of these stuff.
You do not need to go with your xray result is not needed for the interview.
if you dont have dollars, you can always pay with Naira.
Above all know that---EVERY CASE IS DIFFERENT.For the facts that some people go ... read complete review
