Medical Appointment:
As mentioned by others on here, attempting to get vaccines ahead of time to save money proved futile. We made an effort to get a couple of the vaccines, evidence of which were stamped in his Cartilla de Salud from IMSS (Mexican health record booklet). This was completely ignored by the health clinic and my husband said that everyone was given the same set of shots no matter what kind of documentation they attempted to present. We weren't super surprised by this, but a disappointment nonetheless. The process was relatively quick and painless, although my husband suffers from a pretty strong fear of doctors and hospitals, so he was incredibly nervous and stressed. For your average person, it's thorough but not overly stressful. Our appointment was at 6 am at Servicios de la Frontera, and their service of being picked up was extremely helpful. My husband was out by 8:30, which was about as early as we would have expected. My husband said that some peopl... read complete review

I went to Juarez hoping that all was going to be ok and approved. I wasn't, the overall process was acceptable, I even liked Juarez, it has much better pavement then Reynosa. But I was declared inadmissible and was given the opportunity to apply for a waiver and that was all I was told. I guess we are not the first nor will be the last ones. I left the consulate really disappointed because we have been in this process since April 2017, but I guess, it is what it is.

We were so nervous before going, but our experience in Juarez was great!
I flew into El Paso Airport and we both arrived at Juarez on Thursday evening. I hired Geno from EPShuttle to transport me across the border, and Geno was super friendly and made the process super easy and fast. He charged me $90 there and $75 on the way back. We stayed at an AirBnb because we wanted to be able to cook our own food and have a bit more privacy than a hotel would provide. We loved our experience at the AirBnb and felt completely safe the entire time we were there. It was an easy 3 minute uber ride or 15 minute walk to the consulate and Plaza. https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/29831610?guests=1&adults=1

My husband was given a 221g which did not say why our application was being refused. We left there not knowing what just happened. So he needed further investigation but we didn't know what or why.

So my husband had his interview on Tuesday 2/26/19.
Monday he had his medical at 9am everything was going fine until they looked at his tattoo and the lady was rude and was looking over his tattoos with a magnifying glass and saw one of his tattoos that said Mexican pride and asked why he covered it but he covered that years ago before we even thought of going through this process because the tattoo was in ugly letters and fading but she could see it with a magnifying glass. He told her why and she went on to finish the exam. He had to see a psychologist because of his tattoos and she asked for his criminal records which he didn't have because it doesn't say he has to take them. She let him go back to the room to retrieve them. She asked for his waivers because he has a charge for burglary and he told her that he doesn't have his waivers yet because the lawyer told us that he has to get denied at the interview before he can file the waivers and she said no your doing... read complete review
