I hope this helps anyone that is going through the same process as me.
I filed to start my application in September 2017. I first had to submit my I-130. My first lawyer told us that she had submitted the form in early November 2017 and all we needed to now was wait while we received an approval of our I-130. After 3 months of waiting, I became curious to why the I-130 money order that was sent had not been processed and so I called USCIS to see if they would cash in the check when the application was approved. USCIS told me that they had no recollection of them receiving anything from me and maybe because they had not reached my application yet. I emailed and called my lawyer late January 2018 to get a better understanding of what was going on. NO RESPONSE !! It was now March 2018 when i heard back and my lawyer said that she would look into it. Early April, I find out my lawyer will be transferring my case to another attorney there. My husband said the actual interview lasted about 15 mins if that, they only asked where we meet, how we meet etc... very simple questions.
I did this all on my own w/o a lawyer and only made a little mistake on my sponsors AOS but I corrected it within 2 hours after the interview and even though they told us to send it back DHL I made my husband take the corrected information back to the window of the entrance of the consulate. Thank God they accepted it because just from that mistake quickly corrected we spent a long 11 days in Mexico waiting for his visa to be approved and ready for pick up instead of the normal 3-4 days

I flew into El Paso, TX and walked across the border into Juarez on a Sunday. My fiance had his medical exam on Monday, CAS appointment on Tuesday, and interview on Wednesday.
Medical exam: The exam at SMF was scheduled for 10:00am and they provided free transportation to the facility. We just called them and gave them our address and they came to pick us up. My fiance was inside for 3.5 hours and I waited outside since I couldn't go in. There is a waiting area (indoor and outdoor area) with bathrooms and vending machines. Price of the exam plus required vaccinations cost a bit over $400 USD.
CAS biometrics appointment: 1:50pm, My fiance was able to go in early and was out within 20-30 minutes.
Interview: Was at 8:00am and my fiance was inside for 4.5 hours. The wait was excruciating. There are people waiting outside near the embassy, on the pedestrian bridge, across the street. My fiance told me when he finally interviewed that they only a... read complete review
