The process is so slow, they make appointments and whoever gets first in line will get attended first, I totaly recomend to get there as early as possible. Be prepared to spend a couple of hours sitting in a chair. Also be aware they will not allow you to go in with any electronic device, cellphones or anything, they will send you back to your hotel to leave them, no lockers in place to leave anything either.

My interviewer asked for documents out of the normal requisites, they asked me to show a brith certificate because a passport is not enough evidence of my fiance citizenship which is ridiculous, to get the passport you need a birth certificate. Anyway be prepared with as much documents as you can.

The interview process in Ciudad Juarez was very smooth for my wife.

She arrived in Ciudad Juarez three days prior to her interview date. Two days prior to the interview she had the medical exam in the morning, then the fingerprints and picked up her medical results that same afternoon.

The morning of the scheduled interview date, the officer just verified that she had all the required documents and that everything checked out with the documents, and they rescheduled her to return the following morning for the actual interview.

The interview itself only lasted about 5 minutes. They asked her a few simple identifying questions, our wedding date, and how we met. He then congratulated her, and kept her passport.

She received her passport back 5 days later with the stamped residency page.

My wife and I flew into Jurauz about 1 week before her interview so we had time to get the Interview letter from the consulate an do her medical appointments.

My wifes interview was early in the morning, I belive the letter stated 8:00am.

We never did recieve the interview invitation letter, and so we asked for it at the consulte window the day after we arrived. We needed this for her medical exam as well.

My wife entered the consulte asap in the morning of her interview and was back at the hotel around 930am. They asked her a few simple questions..

1. Whats your fiances name
2. Where does your fiancé live?
3. What is your name?
4. What is your sons name?

Then told her congratulations your visa is approved and gave her a green slip on how to track the visa, although We collected it at the consulates applicant processing center the next friday.

Process was fairly quick for the most part and they are pretty nice as long as you follow the rules. Got asked for standard documents, nothing out of the ordinary and some questions in spanish to verify my associate to the case then a couple questions in english to verify my relationship. I messed up my ds160, so I had to go back to the hotel to print a new ds160, they gave me a fast pass to get back to the consulate same day and finish up. All in all very nice experience, took around 3-3:30 hours, arrived at 7:15 AM
