My fiancé had his interview last week and as he told me it went really well and wasn’t difficult. I left him at the gate and waited in a cafe nearby while he was inside the Embassy. He said everyone was very friendly and he was able to answer their questions without difficulty. They asked how we met, what work he wants to do in the US, had he ever been to my hometown in the US, etc. He was a little nervous, but was very happy when he finished and got approved!

Due to Covid19, the embassy only allowed people to enter if they arrive 15 mins before their appointment.
I came inside and there were already 6 people waiting for the interview before me.
The documents checking and fingerprints didn't take that long, 30 mins after I arrived there those are done.
I submitted the I-864, but the officer returned it to me and said it is not necessary as I already submitted online.
Waiting for the interview which take longer than I thought.

There are two CO who doing the interview. And after 1,5 hours waiting they called my number.
She hand me back the original marriage certificate and birth certificate.
Questions that she asked :
1. How & where did you two met?
2. How do you communicate after he went back to the US and have long distance?
3. Where and how was the wedding?
4. Did you ever met his family?
5. Where will you live in the US?
6. Why did I came and... read complete review

My appointment was at 9.30am so I went to the embassy at 8.45 after reading loads of reviews from others saying to go early. MISTAKE! Maybe it's only in Tokyo, but they wouldn't let me in. They only admit people 15 minutes early and told me to come back at 9.15.

I come back at 9.20 and went through the usual procedures for security to gain entry to the processing area.

The receptionist at the entrance of the processing area needed to see my interview letter and ID. She gave me a paper which listed the documents required and the order in which to organise them.
1. 2 colour photos with your name written on the back of each
2. Current passport (I also took my old with my maiden name which they also looked at)
3. I-864 Affidavit of Support
4. Police certificate(s)
5. Court and prison records, military record if applicable
6. Medical examination
7. Self addressed LetterPack

She then told me to ... read complete review

I was extremely nervous for my emergency interview.
The person who collected my documents and the officer who took my fingerprints were nice. One of them even greeted me in Portuguese (my native language) which was nice.
The interviewer officer was okay, she asked very simple questions such as:
Have you lived in any other countries?
How did you meet?
How was the proposal?
Have you ever been to the US?
What is the reason for your emergency interview?
Then she said she was giving my passport back because they "couldn't issue K visas". I was very confused. She said I would have to mail my passport when they started resuming services. I tried asking more questions but all she kept saying was that they just couldn't.
I always knew I would be very nervous and it wasn't going to be a pleasant experience but that day was terrible. I was so upset when I left I could barely explain what had just happened to my fiancé on the ph... read complete review

I got in the embassy 8:30AM and went through the airport type security check. Got myself a number from the kiosk and arranged documents according to what was written on the paper given. Handed out documents for checking. Was seated and waited to be called till 0945 got fingerprints taken. 0955H was interviewed by the consul and was asked the following:

Who filed for your petition?
how and when did we meet?
who messaged first?
When did you get married?
Where was he when you first met?
Where is he now?
First marriage for both of you?
Any children?
I see You got nursing educational background?
How did you come to Japan?

Birth Certificate and Marriage certificate was handed back to me.
Your visa is approved it will come to your mail within a week.🎉🥳🎉🥳🎉🥳
