I had to come to embassy 3 times to get my visa in hand. They asked me to come back because they wanted me to bring my marriage certificate translation. And then after I brought my marriage certificate translation, they asked me to come back to embassy the next day since they didn't have my visa printed. And finally I got my visa on the next day.
The good thing is I didn't have to wait my visa delivery cuz it would take longer. They gave the visa directly cuz I told them I already bought my flight ticket and the flight was around a week after my first interview.

There was, at the most, 10 appointments during our scheduled time for our interview including ours. I had attended and had been interviewed with the petitioner and was told that paperwork was old and updated paperwork would have to be submitted. Our application was denied.

Hi all,
This is long over due but I would like to submit my review about my interview at the Indonesian Embassy on the 28th of April 2015
I arrived at 11.30 and my interview was set for 12.30 PM, they made me wait by the gate for the timing and my dad who was with me was asked to wait outside for me. There is no waiting space for people that are not allowed into the embassy. And you have to apply to bring someone else in. You can't just walk in... just an FYI
Around 12.15 they began giving us this basket to put our phones and other electronics in and we made our way into the embassy entrance, where we passed through security similar to what you'd get an the airport and then i got a number for my electronics and made my way into the consulate.
It was a slight adventure getting in the place, and if you want to use the toilet or anything do it before you enter the final room.
I went in and waited. I thou... read complete review

From my fiancee:
At 12.15 the security guy called us, checked his list to our passport and email from the embassy.. then he gave us a plate to put our phone and electronic things.. i entered the gate and we did a little adventure together to find the room.. we went to window 5.. I gave all documents, but she gave me back the evidence (like our pictures, etc) she said "show it to the interviewer later".. then she asked me "first time travel to The US?" And finally she gave me a little white paper and an orange paper and article about human right in the US.. then i went to window 6. To pay the visa 3.577.000 rupiah [$265 USD]..
Then i waited in waiting room. I was the third person called by them.
I entered the room 1, and the interviewer said good afternoon in bahasa.. He is around 30 yo, very nice and handsome.. Je asked me to do finger print 4 times (one of them is for a swearing that every single things in this interview are true) then he... read complete review

Hi, I would like to share my experience of my IR-1 interview at the US embassy in Jakarta today March 3, 2015.
My interview was scheduled at 12.30 p.m. so my husband and I came to the embassy at around 12 by bajaj from Maxone Hotel. There were 3 other immigrant visa applicants lining up outside the embassy.
When we arrived, the security guard greeted us so friendly. She smiled and asked me where I got my batik dress I was wearing. :D
Then, I explained to her that I had an immigrant interview and that my husband wanted to join me. She said yes right away. She even didn't bother asking me to show her the email my husband sent to the embassy (The email stated that he was allowed to accompany me during the interview). She also explained to the other security guard that my husband is a US citizen and he would like to join me in the interview. She was simply so cool, helpful, and friendly.
At around 12.20, we entered the front... read complete review
