Hey Guys,

My wife had her Interview on Feb 10th. Her visa was approved and we are in US together. But before I go ahead in writing my review, I would like to thank Visa Journey and its members for making this long cumbersome process more tolerable and easy to follow. Keep up the good work. Now on to the review.

My wife had her Biometrics appointment on Feb 9th, 2015. While preparing her documents we forgot to add her biometrics appointment letter and she came to find this out when she actually got to the VAC, but lucky us that the folks over the VAC were nice enough and since she had a copy of her visa interview letter along with all the required documents for biometrics they were okay with it and she completed her biometrics. The whole process took somewhere about 30 or so minutes, so wasn't long at all and was taken care of easily.

The documents required for Biometrics are Appointment Letter for VAC, DS260 Confirmation Page, Passport, Copy... read complete review

My interview was on 27th Feb at 7:30 AM. I reached embassy by 6:30. I thought I reached too early but there were already people standing opposite to embassy. At 6:50 person from embassy came over and asked immigrant visa applicants to form a queue and then we went to embassy. We were standing in queue just outside entrance into embassy. We were asked to take out passport and P4. CD or other electronic items are not allowed. We were asked to proceed inside. Our belongings were scanned at security check. Then we walked a bit to go inside kain building.

We were asked to form separate queue for single applicants. People from south were asked to form separate line. We were asked to arrange docs. After few minutes of waiting were given token number and first indian person interviewed me, tooks original docs and arranged them. Asked few questions

Well, my husband did not have a very good experience at his interview.

When he went, he was the first person in, and the last person out. The only officer he talked to was an Indian man. As soon as he was called to the counter, the man was instantly rude to him. He barely asked him any questions. He told him to sent down. Later, an Indian woman came up to the counter, and asked him some questions. Their issue they had was that my husband and I did not do anything traditional in regards to our marriage. They could not understand why my husband's parents would approve of him marrying a white girl, and allowing me to stay with him in their home even before marriage (This accusation is crazy because his parents love me to death, so this was quite disheartening.) So, my husband was told to sit down again. Later, after sitting until 2 pm. The same Indian officer called him up. He would not look at any of my husband's proofs that he brought with him. He did not really give my h... read complete review
