Hey Guys,

My wife had her Interview on Feb 10th. Her visa was approved and we are in US together. But before I go ahead in writing my review, I would like to thank Visa Journey and its members for making this long cumbersome process more tolerable and easy to follow. Keep up the good work. Now on to the review.

My wife had her Biometrics appointment on Feb 9th, 2015. While preparing her documents we forgot to add her biometrics appointment letter and she came to find this out when she actually got to the VAC, but lucky us that the folks over the VAC were nice enough and since she had a copy of her visa interview letter along with all the required documents for biometrics they were okay with it and she completed her biometrics. The whole process took somewhere about 30 or so minutes, so wasn't long at all and was taken care of easily.

The documents required for Biometrics are Appointment Letter for VAC, DS260 Confirmation Page, Passport, Copy of passport, 2x Passport size photos (American Standard 2x2).

Then came the real deal on Feb 10th, the interview day. My wife had her interview at 7:30am. She got to the Consulate at 6:50am and there were separate lines for people with different appointment times which included line for 7:30am, 8:00am and so on. She went ahead and joined the 7:30am line and there were only about 15 or so interviewees in that line. Once she entered the embassy, she was given a token number and asked to sit down. After a while her token number was called and she went over to the window where her documents were collected and she was asked the following question by the lady behind the window.

- What is the name of your husband?
- Have you traveled internationally where the trip was longer than 1year?
- What is your mother's maiden name?

After the following the questions were asked where she handed over all the documents that she had taken for interview, she was asked to take a seat again and was told to wait for her turn. After waiting for quite a while her number was called and she went over to the interview window. After getting to the Window she was faced with an old lovely CO who gave her a smile and asked her to take an oath. After that, she was asked the following questions by the CO.

- What does your husband do?
- With whom does he stay in United States?
- Does he have any siblings?
- What do the siblings do?

After asking her the above listed questions he continued typing some stuff on his computer and told my wife, "You are Approved!" and asked her to have fun in Michigan while warning her that it was very cold out here. All in all a very pleasant and easy experience at the Mumbai embassy. Everyone there is very eager to help.

This is how our 14months of Visa Journey ended in 4 quick questions and approximately 2hrs of wait time in the consulate.

After her interview, I had went to India to surprise her for Valentine's Day and bring her back with me to the states and came back on Feb 25th. After being more then a year and half apart we are finally together

Once again, Thank You Visa Journey and its members for making this whole process a lot more bearable and easy to follow.
