Visa Application Center (VAC) - New Delhi
- Arrived at 8:00 AM for an 8:30 AM appointment.
- There is paid parking at the building if you come early.
- Preferable not to take any personals like cell phone, bags etc. Take only the documents which have been requested.
- Was asked to enter building at 8:15 AM with other 8:30 Appointment holders.
- Ensure you take your valid passport, VAC appointment letter & DS 160 confirmation page. They also asked to see the Visa Fee payment receipt (I printed the ustraveldocs webpage which shows your receipt details).
The staff will stamp your DS 160 and it is IMPORTANT you take this stamped DS160 to your VISA interview at the embassy.
- Passed through a quick security check, went to the counter at the entrance where they asked for my passport, appointment letter and DS160 confirmation page. I was then asked to pick up a token and wait for my number to be called.

Apply for Adjustment of Status by JULY 30 - AUGUST 10
You should make every effort to get the Adjustment application filed within 90 days of the fiance(e) entering the United States as indicated on the I-94.
Applying for AOS, EAD (I-765) & AP (I-131)
http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1k3aos
EAD allows your to work (will need to reapply every year until your AOS (i.e. "Green Card") application is approved). AP allows you to leave the country on a vacation / trip while your AOS application is being processed.

Thanks everyone for all your help and support.
We got approved.
We arrived at the embassy an hour before scheduled time.
Just before our scheduled time we lined up in the immigration line outside embassy. After that security checked our interview letter and passport (my wife was with me) and after that we were allowed to enter into the embassy.
After entry we went through normal security check.
After being cleared from security check local help checked our document and sorted out the ones which were required and put them in order.
After that we were called to a window where a local person again told us to submit the documents and wait until they prepare our file for the CO interview.
(The local person verified my dob, my previous travel, and marriage date)
Then we waited for the final CO interview...there were only two windows which were doing the immigrant visa interviews.

Positive experience. All paperwork was in order and all documents/proof were ready to be show if asked. Mostly asked generic questions like, 'how you met', 'what is your husband's favorite food' etc. Few specific questions regarding our case were asked.
