Efficient and pleasant overall. Arrived at the embassy early (around 6:30 AM) with my beneficiary fiancee and our newborn son, went to the immigrant visa line, and within 30 minutes we were processed and in the building. From there, had to wait until our number came up, at which point we went up to the window for the interview.
Interview itself was only about 5-10 minutes long. Consular officer asked us a few basic questions: where and how we met, how often I visited her, our plans for after moving to the US, if either of us had been married before (we hadn't). He then congratulated us, said the visa is approved, and we should have it within 5 business days. Didn't even need to take a look at our evidence.
Later that morning our CEAC status switched to "Approved" and the next day it switched to "Issued".

Guatemala City consulate seems to be processing roughly 25 cases daily.
The intake outside the compound was very straightforward, they check your documents and make you go through security. They will assign you a number and ask you to wait in the waiting room area. This area has enough space to keep a safe distance between you and other people waiting for their interviews. We were number 22 out of 25.
They call you a first time to review all your documents and fingerprint you. The only exception was our 2 year old boy, he did not need to submit fingerprints. About 15 minutes later they call you a second time for the actual interview. It was very straightforward and we were asked very basic questions regarding the nature of our petition. Since our case was employment-based, the questions were work-related and we spent in total less than 10 minutes in front of the consulate official. She informed us that our visa was approved and our passports should be ret... read complete review

So my wife had her interview today August 4th, 2020 in the midst of this pandemic. We actually got the interview expedited. My wife said she arrive like 2 hours early and since there was no one they let her in and interviewed her. She told me they didn't really ask for any documents. Only documents they asked were Birth and Matriage certificate and my I864 and w2s. Another thing they asked for was my sons passport, as he was the reason for our expedite. She said the interview went so quick. The officer didn't even as questions pertaining our relationship. Overall she said it was a pleasant experience. Maybe because she was the only one being interviewed.
