My fiance's appointment was at 9.30 in the morning. We got to the embassy around 7.30am where they had formed a queue outside. I was there with my fiance but I didn't go inside the embassy(didn't even attempt to). According to my fiance he was called to a window to submit proof of ongoing relationship and had his fingerprints taken. He also was given a form to sign and asked to go back to his seat. After about approximately an hour, he was called again to a other window to begin his interview. He was interviewed by a young woman woman. Questions asked were:
1. Who is petitioning for you?
2. Where will you have your wedding?
3. Who is attending?
4. Asked about a previous student Visa denied. Asked if it was a coincidence that he was attending a school in the same state the petitioner lived.
5. How petitioner met her ex husband.
6. Who is older(between petitioner and the beneficiary).

Arrived at about 6:30 for a 7:30 interview. Asked to show an appointment letter, submit documents, wait to be called. Older, white CO. Only asked a few questions about living abroad and joked about comments made in texts with my (now) wife. Easy process.

Husband was denied under section 212a as being deemed a public charge His appointment was at 8:30. The lady called him to the desk and ask for his papers She also asked him if we had a joint bank account. When he was called for the interview the interviewing officer looked at his paperwork and told him that he was going to refuse his Visa because he is considered a public charge because my bank statement that I sent to the NVC shows that I did not make enough money to sponsor him. But in fact we had a joint sponsor so it wasn't based on just my income alone. We also had my update bank statements showing that I make five to six thousand a month now starting in February which is why we had a joint sponsor in the beginning because my daycare didn't fill up until then. He says the officer didn't want to look at my new bank statements or consider my cosponsor. I'm not accepting this. The man was very unfair. How can you deny when the evidence is there.
