Approved! Thanks to Jehovah and the great advice & experiences found here on VisaJourney! My husband arrived at 7am to the embassy and the line was long. However, he got inside the building without issue. A lady collected his documents and asked if he had any new evidence he wanted to submit and took those. He submitted a few additional chat messages and photos.
He then sat in a waiting area for about 2 hours before he was called for his interview. He was interviewed by an older white gentleman. When he first approached the window he was sworn in under oath. He was asked several questions. Here are what I remembered:
• How did you meet your spouse?
• When was her last visit?
• Was there a previous marriage?
• Why did you marry on 1st visit?
• Does your spouse have kids? How many?
• What is your spouse’s occupation?
• Where does your spouse live?

My husband had a 9:30 interview appointment at the Embassy in Accra on February the 21st, 2019. He arrived at 6:30 and was one of the first to be put in the Que. He had copies and originals of all his paperwork and submitted those up front. Then after about 30 min or so of waiting he was called to the first available interview booth. He said the gentleman that interviewed him was cheerful and polite (thank you Jesus)! They made small talk and then proceeded with the questions. He asked a total of 5 questions the last one ending asking if we had invitations sent out for our wedding. My husband proceeded to retrieve a copy from his paperwork and the gentleman responded with "Congratulations your APPROVED "!!! He kept all of the original documents and handed my husband one piece of white paper with pick up instructions for his passport! Overall he said it was a smooth and easy process.

Also, my mother signed our first letter of intent as a witness. We included video chats, airline tickets and passport stamps. We have seen each other 3 times in 1.5 years at the time of filing. We met through my father in 2011 and talked on the phone and Facebook until we met in person 2017. Dated 14 months before applying.
I am very heartbroken and want to know the specific reason(s) for the denial so that I can appeal if possible. I understand the need to crack down in high fraud countries, but we proved beyond a doubt intent to marry and a bonafide relationship. I've had lunch with his dad and friends. His mom taught me how to make egusi not(popular Ghana dish) lol. His family attended my father's funeral. Anyway, it wasn't enough. My fiance was advised by CO not to apply for k1 again, and not to appeal because the petition would have expired by the time USCIS received it back from him. CO said we should just marry and try the spousal visa.
In meantime... read complete review

Our k1 petition was denied
My fiance says he wasn't asked any questions. The CO only asked about his son. His son would not join us immediately, but at a later date. I love his son so much and never thought he would cause an issue. CO asked why the son didn't live with the my fiance and lived with his grandmother instead. CO's questions were all centered on his son, who is well taken care of by his maternal grandmother. It is normal for a child be with the mother/grandmother. But the petition requests that we name any children of the beneficiary. This was the reason he gave for the denial. I expect that I will receive a denial letter in the mail.
The appointment was at 7:30 am. We have a SUPER bona fide relationship. We submitted Whatsapp chats, wedding invitation suite, pictures of my mom and closest friends wedding shopping, my dress, toasting flutes, vanue, pictures of me and him with my dying father on his bed, Facebook chats, months of call records, m... read complete review
