Husband was denied under section 212a as being deemed a public charge His appointment was at 8:30. The lady called him to the desk and ask for his papers She also asked him if we had a joint bank account. When he was called for the interview the interviewing officer looked at his paperwork and told him that he was going to refuse his Visa because he is considered a public charge because my bank statement that I sent to the NVC shows that I did not make enough money to sponsor him. But in fact we had a joint sponsor so it wasn't based on just my income alone. We also had my update bank statements showing that I make five to six thousand a month now starting in February which is why we had a joint sponsor in the beginning because my daycare didn't fill up until then. He says the officer didn't want to look at my new bank statements or consider my cosponsor. I'm not accepting this. The man was very unfair. How can you deny when the evidence is there.

The C. O is a white elderly man. So after the Ghanaian lady collected my documents, I sat there for almost half an hour more, before being called to window 8. Making my total waiting period around 3 hours. That man is good and friendly and very professional. He called me. I came. And he said salaam alaikum, I replied. And he said ANTA BIKHAIR? meaning are you good? And I replied. Then I asked him if he speaks Arabic? He said kaleelan, meaning a little. Then we swore the oath. Already I saw him looking at my documents before he called me. So the nerve rack was long gone before I was called. He just looked at the e computer screen and touched few things. And he said he needs one more thing, w2s. He instructed me tell my wife to send it and then I attach it with my passport and another form and then drop it off at DHL... Then he said the magic words.
Not even half a question was asked.. The good man did not ask me nothing. I just say Allahu Akbar.

The embassy was taking too long contacting us so that we can schedule an interview. We took the situation into our own hands.
I went online and found out on our own the necessary steps we had to take to complete everything required and scheduled our interview.
When the interview date came the embassy realized what we had done and told us we had to continue to wait until they contacted us and that they would have to approve and instruct us for another interview date. They told us we had to leave without having an interview.
We left the embassy and took a 5 hour ride back to where we were staying. They emailed us the next day with the intructions and we had to pay the ds 160 fee again in order to reschedule for a new interview date.
I am happy to share that today my fiance had his interview. I couldn't stay in Ghana to wait for the new interview date so he went alone. I made sure to complete and organize all his necessary documents. He said the interview too... read complete review

The questions were few . The CO stated the evidence that we had about the relationship was fine but he wanted more information about my husband. They had his passport and birth certificate and that was not enough to prove who he was. He sent them a bank statement . We are waiting
