Got there around 6 for our 6:45 am appt. Tons of people already there but like everyone said before it doesn't matter because they sort the line anyway. We went in and thru security. We had not only a bag full of supporting documentation but a stroller for the baby and all his necessities. We got in and all the seats filled up VERY QUICKLY. dress code seems to be flexible as we saw people in all kinds of outfits. Apparently my dress was too business attire because I got tons of questions from people who thought I worked at the consulate. Ladies wear flats it's A TON OF WAITING AND NOT enough seating.
Bathrooms are clean n close.
It gets noisy so listen for your numbers.
Also, I'm not sure if it's cuz I'm from NY but I didn't find it cold at all in there.
We got called the first time for paper collecting. Then sent to pay the fee (now 105$ not $80) then waited. Called again for fingerprints. Waited. Then finally the interview!!
It was... read complete review

passed through security and went inside and got a number (322)
the lobby was full of people and not a lot of seats so be reading for some standing
around 10:30 they called our number to a window where a lady asked my wife for her papel de buena conducta ,passport and birth certificate and asked her how long we've been married for and told her to go to window 1 or 2 to get her fingerprints done
after that we waited for our number to be called again and that's where the interview started , a older american lady asked my wife if she speaks English my wife told her no and then she started asking me some questions in English

We were at the embassy around 5:30am and our appointment was at 6:45 am we were close to the door, but at the end it makes no difference. They seperated the lines by visas and then we went through metal detectors then waited for hubby, his line was very slow.
After we got together we received our lucky No. 103. At 7:15am Window 7 called our number to get our mc, pcc, bc, passport, medical results and interview letter and AOS forms (I paid AOS on ceac).
She then verified my name and said that the system shows that I need to pay the IV fees. And asked if we have any children and also asked hubby have been arrested? Have you travel outside the Dom. Rep. before? She then sent me to the cashier to pay $325.00 for the IV, and told hubby to go to window 1 or 2 for his fingerprints.
We then waited for our number again for the oficial interview.
At 9:25am window 25 called us:
The guy is around 35-40 years old, he was very ni... read complete review

The Banco Popular reciept we did not need. As long as you paid the AOS and Visa application on line your good.
1. Be there at the embassy early (our appointment was at 6:45 am and we got there at 5:15am and we were close to the door. They seperated the lines by visas and then you go through metal detectors. (dont listen to the people in the yellow shirts telling you what u cant bring in. They say watches are not allowed and the ones that dont work. My husband didnt listen to me and let them hold his watch and he had to pay 200 pesos when we came out. I was like im not from your country and I know more than you.)
After you get in you sit on a bench and wait to go in and then once you get in you get a number and wait to be called.
2. Have ready Marriage cert, birth certificate, passport, cita letter and buena conducta paper
3. When you see them staple a green ticket u know ur gonna be approved.
4 Then you go to ... read complete review
