Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

We were at the embassy around 5:30am and our appointment was at 6:45 am we were close to the door, but at the end it makes no difference. They seperated the lines by visas and then we went through metal detectors then waited for hubby, his line was very slow.

After we got together we received our lucky No. 103. At 7:15am Window 7 called our number to get our mc, pcc, bc, passport, medical results and interview letter and AOS forms (I paid AOS on ceac).

She then verified my name and said that the system shows that I need to pay the IV fees. And asked if we have any children and also asked hubby have been arrested? Have you travel outside the Dom. Rep. before? She then sent me to the cashier to pay $325.00 for the IV, and told hubby to go to window 1 or 2 for his fingerprints.

We then waited for our number again for the oficial interview.

At 9:25am window 25 called us:
The guy is around 35-40 years old, he was very nice and friendly to us.

To him:
How old are you?
Did you ever have problems with police?
Have you ever travel outside the Dominican Republic?
Does your wife earns a lot?
What she does for living?
What is she studying?
What university?
Did you help your wife to select the wedding invitation?
What color were they?
How many years you have together? Since when?

To both:
Did you guys had a big wedding?
How did you guys invited them?
You met online correct?
Show me your favorite picture and said awww so cute!
Where was the album, here in DR or in NY?

To me:
You are (Name)?
How did you get the wedding invitation?
How much did it cost?
How did you send them to DR from NY?
Do you have the copies of tax returns for the joint sponsor and other documents such as passport copy and employement letter?
He smiled and said wow very good you are so prepared!
I smiled back and said off course!

It took us 10-15 minutes for the interview. At 9:40am we were at Domex and paid 11 dollars for the delivery, even though we decided to do a pick up( it is much faster). I will wait for hubby, he is already claiming his windows seat before his interview lol.
VJ is another bless for me and hubby, without this community the process wouldn´t be that easy.
To my VJ crew: Noelia, Chaki, Dee, Mery, Yoly, Yane, Lisa, Ili, Chris gosh I can´t remember the rest lol but you know who you are! Thank you for your guidance, support and time! I want you all to know how much I appreciate the support and encouragement you all provided.

To Johanna, Thank you for your words of understanding and encouragement. I can´t express how much it means to me to have you praying for us and empathisizing with me.
