There was so many people. The wait is over 4 hours long. Everything is very organized. Consul was very nice and asked me three questions, why wasn't my fiancé with me, when and how did we meet and if I've had any problems with immigration during any of my travels to the US or any other country. Approved in less than 5 minutes. Interview was in english but had the choice between spanish and english. Received passport 8 days later.

Our interview was on February 1, 2019 at 7:00 AM at the Embassy of Santo Domingo, my fiancé came to accompany me to the interview from the USA.
I'm from Santiago we moved the day before to stay at the Hotel MicroCondo is 5 minutes from the Embassy, and so we can arrive on time.
The line was super long at 6 AM but, everything was fast, we were classified separately my fiancée Citizen showed his passport at the entrance and the appointment sheet. After we went through the check-ups process we went to the waiting room, when we entered the embassy a lady took us the results of the medical examinations, she uncovered them and asked for my passport, then she gave us a ticket and said to go sit between the window 18 to 28 and there we had a very kind Consul, while verifying our history and paperwork called us.
(My boyfriend and I dressed the same) Consul was surprised and said: wow! Is it the same shirt? There we broke our nerves and started talking ... read complete review

Everything was well organized. We came prepared with a binder filled with evidence but was never asked to show any of it. I believe it was because we frontloaded our petition. I the petitioner was only asked 3 questions. Where and when I met Adrian, how many times I’ve been to RD and if ive met his family. That’s absolutely it!! I think it helped that I’ve been there seven times. After that question it seemed like he already made his decision to approve our petition.

Overall process was smooth. Fiance arrived early - Appt was scheduled for 7am (Embassy does not go by appt time, goes by 1st come 1st serve).
The CO asked a few questions pertaining to where and how we met, questions about my daughter and what my phone number was without looking on the paper... (try to have the beneficiary memorize the petitioners number)
The CO asked a few other questions and then closed our file with his passport in it, handed him a paper and told him congratulations. He was in and out within an hour and a half
Overall it took only 2.5 days for his passport to be completed and ready to be picked up (His interview was on a Monday- picked up that Friday morning)
