Embassy process is very good. The medical appointment you are required to go to and the doctors who do your appointment are the problem. There are 4 doctors one female doctor. They charge ridiculous sums of money for the appointments and you can be assured that you will need additional vaccinations at $75.00 USD each. My wife was told they thought they saw a spot on her lung and her medical paperwork did not get signed because of that. Her films of the xray where they made this determination where never shown to her and this set us pack 60 days because we had to go to another set of 3 consecutive days of medical lab tests and another $300 USD worth of medical fees. My wife had to travel 4 hours to get to Bogota from her city ...stay in a hotel for 3 days, pay for transportation back and forth to her appointments and have her mother help watch our 3 year old son during the time she had to do the tests. After she was told something was wrong on her first medical exam when she got ... read complete review

We arrived at our appointment on time.. Had the initial review of documents about 30 minutes after arriving.. We waited about 2 hours then had the 2nd interview.. It lasted all but 5 minutes..simple questions and didn't ask for any supporting documents.. Two things that seemed important to the consular officer was that I visited 4 times in a year and I was there for the interview... I would advise to over submit documents when you file the I-129f.. Prior to filing the I-129f, be very diverse in evidence, that also seemed important.
What city will you live?
Petitioner's name?
Ever been to the USA?
Are you going to be very honest with me??
Are you going to marry in a church?
Do you have children?
How many times have I visited Colombia?? When she said 4 times and he is here now. The interview finished!
That's about it
To note: we have a 27 year age difference.. The man didn't blink with that

My husband's interview was scheduled today for 8:30 and he got there at 7:30. He was out at 10:30. It's more of waiting because his interview only lasted about 5 min. He was approved!!!!

**We received our PACKET 3 THROUGH EMAIL.
**First off I advice you to at least give yourself ONE FULL WEEK to get your Medical Exams and other running around done before your actual Interview at the consulate. We were so excited to see that we got our invitation, it was on a Tuesday and when setting our appointment we saw that on that Friday they had open availability and also the following Tuesday (along with a few other options)... we fought the urge to book the Friday and booked Tuesday. This was a smart choice because you have to do a lot of running around:
-X-ray and Blood test
-Finger print and digital picture
-Medical exam
-pick up of results (a few days later)
-Visa Interview
** On Packet 3 instructions it states 6 VISA PICTURES total... In reality you need a TOTAL OF 8 (write full name of beneficiary on the back) and a digital copy also for the DS-160 Online form.
- 2 for X-Ray and Blood test ... read complete review

Interview went very well took about an hour, one line for review and set up next review more detailed, so we went on one line for 10 minutes they took some info, then waited for about 2 hours then got called to the window and interviewed by young guy had all papers in order, thanks to me sending in exactly what they need in the right order, to begin with. I trucked a backpack full of supporting documents and copies of other documents in case there was questions, but there was no need to dig into any of the papers. Asked about 10 questions, in Spanish and then reviewed papers and said you are good to go
Picked up passports at DHL office 2 weeks later in our local city. PS, they have nice coffee pavilion built inside the waiting room and they are renovating the entire waiting area with a roof and new video monitors to watch, so I imagine it will be nice when they get done. We sat on the left hand side which is for immigrants. on the right section is the non immigrant visitor line... read complete review
