Process went smooth.
Document intake day that started taking people in at about 12:20. Maybe 300 people waiting outside. Was raining so not very pleasant. They took minimal documents (I-864, 3 years tax returns, 2 visa pictures, notarized birth certificate, police report and marriage certificate with translations). Paid fee and had finger prints taken. Completed by 3:30 pm.
Interview day started taking people in at 7:30 am. Called to window at 10 am. Asked the following questions:
- Are you a member of the Communist Party?
- Where did you meet your husband?
- Where does he work?
- Where do you work?
- Where is he now? (I was downstairs... lol)
My wife tried to show him documents, my passport and pictures and he said I don't need to see any of that. You are approved. Took less than 5 minutes.
P.S. - One thing I had not read here... When they started the interview they pulled ou... read complete review

The wait was several hours, with many people there quit early. The interview itself was quick and pleasant.

it took me 6 month before the visa interview took place, and another 3 month before i got the visa. What happened was that i had a J-one visa almost 2 years ago, and there is a rule called: Two-year rule. so i had to stay in China for 2 years before i got the K1 visa. Finally, thank God, i got my K1 visa on Dec.21.

February 1, 2012 we turned in documents at 1200. February 2, 2012 we queued up at 6:30 a.m. At about 07:45 a.m. a VO came outside and checked appointment letters and passports and if all was well, you got a small piece of paper and went inside to go to the interview room. I waited for my wife in the 3rd floor coffee shop where the all beverages were 49/50RMB.
About 10:30 a.m. she came to me and smiled, I asked if she got it, and she said yes. We celebrated then left for a meal.
The interview lasted but 4-5 minutes, not many questions. Only, when did you and your husband first meet? How did you feel about your husband when you first met him (oh he is handsome). O.k. says the VO, show me some photos. He gives a cursory glimpse at a few photos and gives them back. She believes she had it made when the VO began a sentence, 2 or 3 times with, "When you arrive in the U.S. …." She felt the VO was quite friendly. She gave him my passport and asked if we went to ... read complete review
