Wife's appointment was at 830am. She was back to the hotel by 930am.
There were two zones. The first had someone that spoke Chinese and collected all the documents. The second had the interviewer that spoke English. The interview was super casual. Wife said she was joking with the officer and at the end he didn't say congratulations to her so she congratulated herself. She said that he kept saying "Oh I forgot to ask you this question" and then would ask her another question. He then said you are approved and gave her the approval letter.
Some questions asked (wife didn't remember them all):
Where was your husband born?
Is this your husband (and then showed her a picture)?
Do you have any children? Do you plan on having children?
He didn't ask her if she was a member of the CCP.

My fiancé stood near the door, so he was one of the first ones out of the elevator and right at the start of the line. The two people ahead of him were digging around for their apointment confirmation, but he had his ready so he was interviewed right away. His interview was in Chinese.
The officer asked him: 1) How did you guys meet? 2) Have you been to the U.S. before? 3) Did you apply for a U.S. visa before? (my fiancé said he was rejected for a tourist visa the year before). So then the officer asked, Is this your first time applying for an immigrant visa? 4) What language do you two use to communicate? ... read complete review
