We were the first one to get by the embassy. The embassy is tucked in by the left side of the building. You barely can see it as there’s no flags nor any signs except for the logo by the door. We got there by 6:45. Line started like aroind 0700. They opened at 0730. Me and my fiance was the first to get in. A lady to your right will check yoir appointment letter and passport. She gave us a laminated paper with number #1 on it and how to arrange your papers. I was with my fiance and she looked at my passport. Said you can go upstairs with her but not on the interview. We then proceeded to the guard and went through the xray machine like the ones in the airport. Make sure you dont have a backpack or large luggage for they wont allow you to get in. We left our phones to one of the guards who then gave us a stub to claim it afterwards. Then they made us to downstairs for the elevator. No guard was around but they told us to wait. While waiting we were able to arrange our papers:

My interview was in Montreal, on May 22nd. Pretty easy, i had all my documents ready, they just asked: how did we meet, when did we get engaged, what does he do for leaving and some other question about my background as i am not a Canadian Citizen, but i have a work permit and i live in Canada. It didn't take longer than 1.50 hr.
My case status changed that day to NIV (application received) with a new date of creation (same as the interview date). May 23th my case was updated but the status didn't change. May 24th change to AP and May 25th to Issued!!
Do not worry so much about AP, it is a normal step on the process, means that you are about to be issued. A couple of hours after i received an email form DOS saying that my documents were ready to be shipped, later i received an email from CPC with my tracking # and the delivery date.

I hope this is helpful for you guys!

Good luck!

Quick and easy, questions how did you meet, when did your relationship start, do you and her children get along, is your dui the only change you have, I answered yes she said that a single dui isn’t a reason to be inadmissible, plans for the weddding my response was court house ASAP to get the AOS started fast she was fine with that answer. 24 hours after my interview I received and email from DoS saying my visa has been issued prior to that it said administrative processing.

AWESOME experience.

Took a oath.
My fiancé's with me and she didn't asked for any additional proof.
QUESTIONS:

- what's your fiancé's work?
- address in the states.

ask to do the fingerprint and hand me the pink slip.

the magic word: "Welcome to the United States".
