Overall a really easy experience that I was anxious about for no reason (and if you're anxious like I was - there's no need to be!).

As others have said, you go through an airport security-like checkpoint. Put your documents and bag/coat in a bin that is x-rayed. Then you step through the metal detector and a guard asks you to put your electronics into a little apartment sized mailbox locker and hang on to the key.

I checked in at window 6, handed my passport to the CO who gave me a ticket and told me to have a seat. When my number was called I went to a different window and they asked me for the following documents:

- Proof of visa payment
- Photocopy of bio page of my passport
- Original and copy of beneficiary's birth certificate
- I-134 and 1040 from 2020 (I did not have the tax transcript but 1040 was fine and they did not ask for any other financial documents)
- Police Certificate(s)
- 2 Passport ph... read complete review

My experience was pretty consistent with other reviews of VJ members, and it took a little over 2 hours from entering the building to the finish.

My interview was set at 9:15am on Aug 11th. I arrived in Montreal a day before and checked out the location in the evening. I was so nervous and barely slept that night.
On the interview date, I arrived 10 mins early and found a line of people already forming at the entrance. I joined the line and waited till a security started bringing people in.
I noticed people are just bringing a binder of documents without a bag/purse. I imagined many of them are VJ members.

9:15 - A security asks a standard sets of covid screening questions and let me inside the building. I proceed to the security check with the x-ray machine like the one you see at the airport security. After that screening, I was instructed to store a cell phone in the small locker behind the reception desk and told to go up to window 6 o... read complete review

Hello Everybody,

I had my interview for F2B in Montreal on Friday Aug.6. My case is particular because I’ve transferred the case from Bucharest Romania, when the pandemic started, so the timeline might not help this category. My DQ were Oct 2019, interviu in Bucharest was for March 2020, and after transfer request I got the new interview date in Montreal for Aug 6, 2021.

I stayed at Best western ville-marie - 6 min walk from embassy, parking available next to hotel, they will guide you (extra cost $25). The hotel is pretty old, but for one night it worked.

I hade breakfast at Cora 2 min from the embassy, and got at the embassy 15 min before the interview appt. They only let me in, 5 min before my appointment.

The interview was pretty straight forwards, it took 2 hrs and 45min for me, I think it was because my case was transferred and they had to double check docs, and new docs on my case etc.

It was ... read complete review

I finally finished this whole process and it was stressful (preparing the documents part)!

8:45 AM (EDT): - I went inside the Consulate to inform the security guard that I have my appointment at 9 am. He told me to wait outside and he will call me in.

8:55 AM (EDT): - The security guard called me in and asked for my passport to confirm my name for the interview appointment. He then asked me a few Covid-19 related questions such as, "Have you travelled
outside of Canada in the past 14 days?", "Do you have any covid-19 symptoms?", "Have you been in close contact with someone who has COVID-19?"
- Another security guard inside asked me to put my stuff through the x-ray machine. He asked me to put my phone in the locker and then take the elevator to the 1st floor.

9:05 AM (EDT): - I walked to window 6 and a lady asked for my passport to confirm the interview appointment. She gave... read complete review
