The VISA interview was very fair and efficient. I think it helped that we were both there. Since we had all of the paperwork and evidence they needed, and medicals from the day before, we were told everything was in order to approve us

We just got back from our approval, so I wanted to add as many details as I can here before I forget.
Much of what happened to us was similar to other reviews: we got there around 6:45am and were the first ones. Another woman showed up around 10 minutes later, and several people were there by the time the guards started letting us in. We brought nothing but our transit cards, passports, and other documents. People were allowed to bring in their umbrellas, but several people behind us were turned away (I didn\'t see exactly what for, but I\'m guessing one had a purse that was too large). Make sure you bring your DHL confirmation because they ask for it before they even let you get to security!
We were second getting downstairs because someone was lightning fast through security, but she sat far from the elevator so we got the seats right next to it. The room slowly filled up, and then a guard came to let us into the elevator. We got into the elevator, all ... read complete review

My appointment was at 10am - I arrived somewhere around 9:40-9:45am. Lucky for me, I left my electronics with a friend working nearby.
There was a huge crowd and 2 line ups. An initial line up leading to a podium, then it blocked off with those bank line divider things. Then another line - a huge one that loops around the back to the doors. I counted 20 people on just one wall out of 3.
I stand in the first line up and someone with a stack of papers checks on the new comers. I was asked to show a DS-160 - which I didn't have (and most of the people in the line up all had). I showed my receipt of when I booked the interview - and they were "ahh, your a K-1 visa". They check my passport - then I was instructed to stay in line, but go behind a person about 5 people ahead. The "10am" section of the line. A woman behind me is a 10:30am appointment.
I was asked if I had prohibited items - annoyingly not matching up to what was on the Vancouver co... read complete review

I am going to do the long version here to help others out...I was so worried myself about it all..
Drove in from Calgary (w my brother and my dog)-left Mon am the 27th Feb, we stayed Mon nite in Kamloops, and we shopped a bit there Tues am, got to Vancouver at 4 pm. Our hotel was the Comfort Inn on Nelson St.. a short 2 blocks from the medical clinic which is why I chose it, for an easy walk at 5:30am.. Loved the hotel, $79..(30$off w no cancellation) outdoor parking lot attached for $14 fee,pet fee, the beds were 6" pillow tops w down comforter, best I have ever slept on!, Doolins Irish pub is downstairs, and the free comp breakfast in Doolins was awesome.Great location, easy 5 min walk to medical clinic, 12-15 mins walk to consulate, and lots to see and do closeby.
Medical Clinic--I left hotel in rain at 5:15am,I was first there at the gates-wrought iron on a short ramp as said-there is an address sign at road..St,Paul's Hospital across street. At 5:30am a lady and he... read complete review

Here is a review of my CR-1 Visa Interview at the US Consulate in Montreal, Canada. Note that I am a citizen of Taiwan. The fact that I was not a Canadian citizen did not effect my interview in any way. Note also that my prior tourist and study permit application 214b denials also had no effect at any point in my application process or interview.
My appointment was at 9am. I arrived at the Montreal Consulate at 7:00am and waited outside. At 7:35am, I was allowed in. A receptionist asked for my Appointment Letter, DHL Letter and passport. I then proceeded to security. I brought nothing in that required a locker so I didn't use it. I so recommend bringing just your documents in if you can help it. It makes the security screening so very simple and fast. He scanned me in. After waiting at the initial security area for about 30 minutes, I was led downstairs to an elevator to the 19th Floor at about 8am. First stop was windows 14b for a number. I was #2 in queue ... read complete review
