We arrived in Montreal on the 31st of May ,my medical was on the 1st and interview on the 7th. The medical was a long day think I was in there for like 4 hours. The interview on the other hand was a breeze.
We arrived at the consulate about 6:45 there were 2 people ahead of us and I still managed to get the C-1 ticket. One guy was turned away at the door he didnt have his dhl. The other one didnt have his letter out after getting off the elevator so she took mine.
I was called up right away to Window 1 the lady was very nice, she took all my original documents didn't need any of the copies I made. Then fingerprinted me.She asked me if I still lived at the address I had given and if I was still moving to the address I gave in the US. Then said I could have a seat and it wouldnt be long until I was called again. I was called to the next window within 5 mins, another really nice lady she greeted my husband and told him she was really glad that he could make it. Then we both... read complete review

Finally! The interview is finished and I was approved! .. time to relax for a couple months before moving!!
It was a cold, rainy day in Montreal and I walked to the Consulate around 6:15 am (I think, I didn't have a watch or phone)There was one other couple already in line. Shortly after Ayan arrived, who was also going for a K1 Visa interview. I believe the four of us were the only VJer's there as alot of people showed up with bags, phones, purses etc and were turned away.
We were let in at 7:30 am, a gentleman took my letter and put a sticker on my passport. I then went through security and went downstairs where we all sat near the elevator. Someone came down at around 8 am and told us we were allowed to go up. When we got off the elevator we were given a number, I was c2...although it didn't seem to matter because they started with c4, c3 then me.
I went up to the window when my number was called and nice lady with blond hair asked m... read complete review

Should have written this six months ago...
Gave it a 3 considering that the interview was over within minutes and ended with AP result. This is not reflective of the kindness, courtesy, or professionalism of the staff at the consulate. They were all helpful. The actual interviewer was the dreadlocked lady that we'd heard was tough, but my husband said she was very polite while handing over that 221g.
He said they asked practically no questions. He brought some evidence of relationship, but he was not asked for any of it. No issues of note - he brought extra copies of everything we'd ever submitted. It seems the decision was made before he ever showed up.
He was in and out within a few hours, and he can attest to all the practical advice ever given - don't bring any electronics or bags, and be prepared to be patient.

It was a cold rainy morning, but we hoofed it the 10 minute walk to the Consulate. I did not sleep well the night before, my stomach was in knots and I felt like I was going to throw up all night, and that morning.
We made it about a quarter to six and waited... Two more Visa Journey members showed up shortly after we did. I didn't get their names but they were both there for K-1 interviews. It would be really nice if they put benches out there!!
We all huddled by the door to stay out of the rain. More showed up about seven and lots had bags, cell phones etc that we knew they couldn't get in with. They finally let us in at 7:30 and we were first! The little guy at the door asking for our appointment letter and courier confirmation. At first we couldn't understand what he was asking for, it sounded like he was saying Career, not Courier. But we got it figured out.
We got through security and the two other ladies sat by the elevator with u... read complete review
