We arrived in Montreal on the 31st of May ,my medical was on the 1st and interview on the 7th. The medical was a long day think I was in there for like 4 hours. The interview on the other hand was a breeze.
We arrived at the consulate about 6:45 there were 2 people ahead of us and I still managed to get the C-1 ticket. One guy was turned away at the door he didnt have his dhl. The other one didnt have his letter out after getting off the elevator so she took mine.
I was called up right away to Window 1 the lady was very nice, she took all my original documents didn't need any of the copies I made. Then fingerprinted me.She asked me if I still lived at the address I had given and if I was still moving to the address I gave in the US. Then said I could have a seat and it wouldnt be long until I was called again. I was called to the next window within 5 mins, another really nice lady she greeted my husband and told him she was really glad that he could make it. Then we both read aloud a statement. I think she asked him where he worked and what he did there , then she asked me how we met where we met in person and to tell her aobut our relationship. She asked me when I intended to move to the states and I said as soon as they will let me in...she laughed and said good answer. She also asked what I did for a living and what I intended to do in the states and that was about it. Got my letter and she said I should get the package within 2 weeks. From the elevator to finish was a total of 15 mins. They let us in at 7:30 and I was out at 8:45. A lot of people got turned away at the door mostly for purses and bags being too big,Cell phones etc.
