Overall I am very impressed with my experience. My interview was yesterday (November 9th).

My appointment was for 7:30am and I arrived at 6:45am. I was the first person there, but shortly after another gentlemen joined me. Within about 20 minutes, there were another 10-15 people. They opened the doors for us at 7:30 and at that point there were approx 20-25 people waiting.

They let us in the building one at a time. Once inside the door, a woman checked my DS-160 and my passport. She put a sticker on my passport and gave both items back to me. She also gave me a laminated checklist with a number on it. I was number 1 since I was first. That was the number they used to call my name for the rest of that morning, and the checklist is the order of which you need to organize your documents after you go through security, when you are in the waiting area.

The security screening which was basically like being at the airport. They took my fitbit and p... read complete review

VisaJourney Family, my wife(Canadian) had her interview on 10/28/16 @ 9:30 am. We were in Montreal a week ahead, for medical and mini vacation. We stayed at L'Apartment Hotel. Very nice and reasonably priced, plus it was a two minutes walk to Medical-medisys.And 8-10 minutes to consulate. Many people have made the comment before here, but just for good measure..There was a new increase in fees for testing-Small, but new and we were not told until we got to window at Medisys. So be prepared Process there very easy and organized, people friendly too. Got results back on Wednesday AM and had appointment next day.Nevertheless,we got to the consulate at 7:15 am next day and there were two people ahead of us already. Note-"It is a first come, first served system". Within 15 minutes more we had a line behind us of about 10 people.Of course the weather was cold, but no rain, just cold and both myself and wife were dressed seasonably warm.
At 7:30 sharp a french speaking gentleman came ou... read complete review

Our interview was scheduled for 8:00 am. We arrived about 45 minutes early to a small line out front. We were escorted in and processed in. My wife stated that the staff was nice and professional. As some have stated, bring everything with you. Even information provided with your USCIS application. The woman who interviewed my wife asked several times how many times I visited Canada and do we have any proof. As we all know the information was provided at the USCIS stage. I was interviewed by and everything worked out ok. I know Packet 4 states what to bring. But, its truly not complete as the interviewer may ask for further information related to your application. All in all though, it was a smooth process. The interview stage was probably the easiest part of the process.

Rundown is pretty much just like the rest of the reviews say. A guard outside checks your passport and DS-160 barcode page. You receive a laminated piece of paper with your number on entry to the building. Go through security, leave your phone with the people operating the metal detector and they give you a little ticket to pick your phone back up when you're done. Go down some stairs to an elevator, and up to the 19th floor. For my 8:15 appt there was no one queued to get on the elevator and no consular people in sight so it was a little different than some reviews.

Upstairs a greeter will tell you what side of the room to sit on and wait. Organize the papers according to the laminated sheet they give you (even though they do NOT ask for them in that order. You're still shuffling like an idiot once you get to the document submission, haha) and wait. I was called to the first station at 9:15am.

The lady there took my fingerprints on both hands, confirmed ... read complete review
