Hi guys! I had the interview at the Montreal Consulate today, and it pretty much looks like anything else you can read about interviews positive experiences, but I'm going to tell you anyways ( I know how good it can feel to read about how it's actually pretty smooth when you overthink in the anticipation of it!)

My fiancé and I arrived at 6:55 am for our appointment which was scheduled at 7:45, there was already someone waiting for the k1 at the door. Once they open the doors, you are allowed to enter one by one. My fiancé came in Montreal to accompany me to the interview, but for some reason the agent at the door told me that he couldn't enter, and even after I told him my lawyers told me he was allowed to, he said that it's not the lawyers that can decide that and that I couldn't let him in. A lady that came in after me came with her fiancé and had no problems, I think there might have been a misunderstanding with the officer and I, but anyways, my love had t... read complete review

She got approved. Heavy snow today in Montreal, so we went around 9:30 AM only. They called for documents around 9:45 AM. Interview was at 10:20 AM with the Rock star guy at window 7.
Usual questions , how long u know, where you will stay? That's it. She got approved.

My petitioner and I arrived together at the consulate around 8:40 for a ""9:15"" appointment (kind of tight timing but we were using public transport in January). The actual interview happened closer to 11, so the consulate just functions on a kind of first come first serve basis. The interview might have lasted less than 5 minutes. The officer was very accommodating, empathetic, and friendly. Can't say spending 3 hours on a plastic chair was fun, so if this is your consulate for interview, get to your appointment at least an hour in advance. Outside of wait times, staff was professional and straightforward. There's a coffee machine in the wait area, which is a nice bonus.

Medical Exam Review:
I had my medical exam on December 9 at Dr. Ian Zatzman’s office in Vaughan, Ontario. There isn’t a lot of parking for the size of the building, but we managed. The office is small and on the second floor, the front desk ladies were slow and I waited 15 minutes just to get checked in. They took my passport, driver’s license, appointment email confirmation with my MTL number, 4 passport photos and immunization records to photocopy them. Had I not had my passport photos they do have a camera and can take your picture. I waited maybe 5 minutes after being checked in and was called in to see Dr. Zatzman. He was very professional and efficient. We filled out a computer document together regarding medical history, he filled in the immunization chart, took my height, weight, and blood pressure, and made me do an eye test with and without my glasses.
From there I went and signed in for my chest x-ray, they informed me the wait would be ab... read complete review
