My interview was scheduled for 9am, but I arrived there at 7:30am. As soon as I arrived, a person from immigration showed me in which line I should be. Right after that, another person approached offering a place to leave my backpack and cellphone, so I left at this place right in front the immigration. It costed R$30. At 8am everybody in the K1 visa line was allowed to go inside. Once I went inside, I had to put my documents and jackets in a X-ray - just like they do in the airport. After that, the securities told everybody in the line to go upstairs and have a sit in a room full with chairs. In this big room is where the interviews are made. At this room, another person from immigration asked us to fill out a paper with especific information and also to get all the documents asked to attend the interview. Interview was pretty quick, got there around 6:40 and by 7:10 we were asked to walk in. Then you are called to fill a form and organize your documents .
Then they call you at the window to verify everything then you sit again for the interview. At the interview it was pretty simple questions. Last 5 minutes , good luck everyone life is good.

My husband and I arrived at the consulate just before 7 am for his 7:40 am appointment. We were directed to stand in the immigrant visa line and a man came by and checked us in on an iPad. At about 7:15 am we were taken in and led upstairs to the immigrant visa room where we were instructed to complete a cover sheet and to put all our documents in a certain order. We did this in 5 minutes and then took everything to a desk in the back of the room to be reviewed for accuracy, then we were told to sit in the front two chairs, we would be first called to one of the windows. After about a 10 minute wait, around 7:30 am, we were called to one of the windows where a nice lady reviewed all our documents and entered some information into a computer. Then we sat down and waited for about 20 minutes for the actual interview. Take a jacket or sweater if you get cold easily--it felt like a freezer they had the A/C set so low! At about 7:50 am my husband's name was called, to go to window 14... read complete review
