Our interview was scheduled for 9:30am. But the day that he went to have his fingerprints done (a few days before the interview) they advised him to get there at 8. So we did.
We waited in line outside and after security check etc we were given a piece of paper with the order that they wanted the documents. It went something like this:
Proof of DS-260
Passport
Birth certificate + copy
Marriage certificate + copy
Military record + copy
Police certificate (state and federal)
Medical (had already been sent directly to consulate)
Proof of financial support: (below is what we provided)
 -864
 -bank records
 -401k
We were called and they asked us to turn in the documents. They looked over it, asked when we got married (to which my husband got the year wrong because he was so nervous) and told us to wait for the interview.

We had our appointment scheduled to 10am. We were there 10 minutes earlier. They walk us in, the staffer gave us some forms and the documents checklist (you must put all documents in the sequence listed). After some time, a 2nd staffer called us to a booth with bullet proof glasses and ran over all the documents. After over 3 hours wait, the consul was checking his computer for a while (probably looking at our documentation) and finally called us for the interview (we were the very last interview of the day!!!). After 3 or 4 questions like 'we did you meet?', 'where are you planning to live?", etc. He told us everything looked good and he would take some notes. At the end, he told us my visa would be printed in the same day but it would be available at ASC probably in the next week. The consul was very polite and smiley the entire time.
