Interview: August 29, 2017 at 08:50am

Note - You cannot enter the US Consulate more than 15 minutes before your interview.

Before entering the first stage of the US consulate on level 10 a security guard checks your interview letter and makes you turn off your phone. You walk to a desk where you hand your paperwork over and someone goes through it to make sure you have everything required for the interview. They put it in one of their own translucent folders and hand it back to you. You then go through the security process, just like at a US airport - shoes off, etc.
You are required to leave electronic devices and all other belongings, except your paperwork/evidence in this area. You are then seated and told to wait for someone to come and get you. I only sat there for about 2 minutes before security came and got me and took me in a lift to the 59th floor.
On the 59th floor I was directed to go through a door where I had to take a ticket ... read complete review

Interview was very simple. I was asked a total of 5 questions:
Who is the petitioner
When did we get engaged
What do I do for work
Who is her Dad
What does he do

And congratulations you will have your passport back in two weeks. 2 days after the interview I received my passport and DO NOT OPEN package.

Somehow my fiance only got 9 days notice from when we got his interview date to the interview, so try to gather as much stuff as possible before you even receive the email for it. We did a name check online at the AFP website right after we found out his interview date and had to express send affidavit information. The soonest he could get a medical check appointment was a week after the interview.

Magically, the AFP name check and the affidavit of support info came in the mail the day before his interview, I don't know how... You should do the Police check and affidavit stuff before you get your interview date, the medical check though they seem to want to know when your interview is so you may need to have your date before you get that appointment. But honestly, I don't think it would hurt to email the official doctors and ask if you can set up the appointment before you have your interview date, it may be possible.

He was only there for an hour and the... read complete review

My fiancee's interview was 9/26/17. He wrote about his experience and I'm posting this for him.

"I went over my K1 papers and made sure that everything I needed was still in our K1 folder before I left.

I opened up Google Maps and typed in "MLC centre" as I started walking, which was a pretty short walk from the hotel I was staying at. I got to the MLC Centre and asked someone at the security desk how to get to my interview. They ended up telling me to go to level 10. I wasn't very familiar with where I was going inside the MLC centre. I went on the elevator and pressed level 10. I sent a quick message to my fiancee to let her know I made it and shut my phone off since you're not allowed to have it on.

I walked in the door and waited in line as I watched everyone else do what they had to do. I realized what I was going to be doing myself as I watched others. After I waited for a bit, it was my turn to go to a desk with two women that asked f... read complete review

I had my interview at the US Consulate in Sydney on Tuesday, 26 SEP 2017 at 08:50 am.

I arrived 20 mins early after rushing to get a pre-paid envelope from a nearby post office, only to find that this was not needed. I arrived a little flustered and took a few deep breaths as I tried to navigate my way around the building - you can only access level 10 from one half of the lifts so be sure to check you are in the right place. The buttons for the levels are on a touch screen are just outside the lift area as you walk up to the lifts, not directly in front where they would normally be.

Once you get up to level 10 you are directed by security into the reception area where you will leave your bags before heading to the interview room. You will walk up to the front desk and hand in your passport and other documents for them to check over (briefly), and then you will be guided through the security check similar to an airport. You need to leave any electronic de... read complete review
