Very quick and simple stuff. Staff is amicable and even playful, expect that with good weather. They do have -some- storage for personal items like phones but they don't advertise it because it's not enough for everyone attending. Guy out front with the lockers is trustworthy enough, but those will only hold maybe a phone and a wallet.

I was not there but my fiancee had no issues at this embassy. They were very professional and the actual interview lasted no more than 15 minutes. The questions ranged from "How did we meet" to "when do we plan on getting married". The only hiccup was the consulate did not have a copy of my (petitioner) birth certificate or passport, which were both definitely sent with the original 1-129 and should have been sent to the consulate. But all my fiancee had to do was go print a new one and take it right back to them the same day.

Arrived at 8am for 8:30 interview. Went to the guard at the front of the line and advised we were there for Permanent Residence Visa, they sent us to a window (outside). There, we were handed a green folder with a paper attached to the front outlining all the documents that needed to be placed inside. Then we went through security. Then to fingerprinting, then told to go straight inside and be seated and wait for name to be called. We were called to window 5 which is in a small little room with a door, completely apart from all other windows. The lady behind the glass was straight faced but nice, she asked for all the documents one by one that we had in the green folder. Then we were told to be seated back in the waiting room and wait for my husbands name to be called again but to be prepared to wait for a while because all documents needed to be scanned into the system. One of the items on the list was evidence of our marriage, I had about about 2 inches worth of evidence so this was... read complete review

Our case was expedited so we uploaded a lot of documents through email directly with the embassy. They would ask for different things and we would send them by email. Whenever we had doubts, we also communicated by email with them and they were super responsive. Always responding inmediatly and being helpful.

My appointment was at 10:30. I went to the embassy at around 10 and right when I was checking in at the entrance, somebody noticed that there was a backpack left on the ground. An alarm was set off and we all had to wait in front of the embassy until it was checked. It took about 2hs for the police to get there and clear the backpack and we were then called back in.

As they mentioned before, you have to go in front of the line and find an embassy employee (not security guard) and tell them that you have an immigrant visa. They make you go to a window (outside of the embassy). There, they asked my name, checked it on the computer and asked for one pass... read complete review

My husband did his interview alone - I was already in the US. Everything was smooth. The only hiccup was that despite having more than enough assets to act as our own sponsor, they requested another financial sponsor that was currently working in the US. They gave him conditional approval that day, I asked a family member to sponsor and we emailed them all the information that afternoon. He received his approval notice the next day.
