That is correct address if you sent USPS then it was different......
-
I would list your embassy and what country so people can better assist you.. Some consulates are different than others
:innocent:
-
It's not really accurate because many people don't update their time line.. I have seen approvals 2 months before the date and 2 months after the date.. I found out there is no validity in the timeline.........

I never received an email on case complete.. I just got the SIF and when I called it said case complete..
-
So i e-mail nvc the last piece of document this morning anyone have an idea of how long they will take to close my case and set an interview my hubby embassy is kingston, jamaica
Once they receive it it should take less than 20 days..Mine took 12 days. It depends how long it sits in the mail room.

He says no "colored revolution"

Oh and Brusik that is what I have noticed also. Seems everyone who goes there experiences a 10-15min interview and then an approval. One of my husbands friends used to work at the consulate and gave us quite a bit of info. He said that they do not process very many and that they very very rarely have any applicants who raise red flags. That being said if you do raise a flag for some reason you are probably doomed lol... but in general if what you have is real and you are doing it all by the book you will be just fine! He did say that during the interview they almost always ask the following questions...
What color underwear is your spouse wearing
Which side of the bed did you each sleep on last night
Where was the last place you two went together
Where did you have your last meal and what did you both eat
They want to know that you were together the night before! So remember the specifics of your last moments together before the interview!!! Other than that he said its smooth as a babys butt at the georgian consulate
haha underwear I was told they ask ask what city I was born, where my parents live etc...

they accepted our i-130 may 16th.how long does it take for a interview?really depressed and its so hard talking alot between our jobs and the 8 hour diffrence.we have a lawyer we r paying thanks!
It's a difficult process, we all have been there. Stay in contact with these forums, people will help and also know what you are going through.
USCIS is known as a 5 month process but lately the California service center has been approving NOA2 in 3-4 months.. Then it goes to the NVC or National Visa Center and once they complete the case all is forwarded to the Embassy in Turkey.. If your paperwork is good and you provide all the needed evidence it may go faster than what the norm is.. Me and the wife have a 10 hour difference and she is a Northern Neighbor of Turkey.. We still skype everyday... Stay busy with work, family and friends and the time will pass faster than you know...
Good Luck

thanks but do we need to pay another $420 for this?
No you won't have to pay again

 gratz
Now it's time to empty the wallet....................

Pallidin... I think you may have taken my financial hardship situation the wrong way. I have a great job here in the US and make way more than the required amount. But he is now unemployed in his home country. Basically it would help us financially if he were here faster as that way we would not be paying for two residences and all that goes along with that on just my income. The officer suggested for me to file for the expedite as he felt it to be a compelling reason. I didnt much expect to get an approval but hey I'm not gonna complain lol
Brusik... Thats AWESOME!!! Glad you have made it through the NVC process. I am going to use all of your posts as a guide since we are both dealing with the Georgian consulate. It would be so cool to be able to be all there together for our interviews!!! From what I hear they do not process very many there so I am really curious to see how fast they schedule your interview! Good Luck and keep me posted!
I am hoping August and from people who have interviewed there its a simple 10 minute process!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Congrats
When did NVC receive your package? DS230 and AOS
They received package 6-3 and I had RFE 6-18 and they received that 6-20...but each item spent 10 days in mail room
-
Just awoke this morning and saw the SIF.. Relieved because the RFE was finished.........
Perhaps that August Interview looks good now... Time will tell..............
-
I requested with the USCIS for our case to be expedited because of financial hardship. I received confirmation last night that they have approved my request. The email states as follows...
Good Afternoon,
I have received your fax. Expedited handling of your case has been approved. Your file is being pulled for adjudication.
Sincerely,
Muhammad Arshad

My question is... Has any received a similar message in response to an expedite request? And how long from that message until I can expect an actual approval?
I have millions of butterflies in my stomach right now and everything seems so close now!
Congratz I know what you mean by butterflies.. NVC just completed our visa so now we await interview date.. HAHA maybe our spouses will have same interview day.. That would be something
coming from a small country......

Thanks but I dont think my husband needs them,he has never been arrested or had problems with the law and I also remember reading in a post that in Mexico its not needed due to the fact that they are so hard and nearly impossible to get.
But thanks for your reply...
Anything else comes to mind??
NVC requires Police Report

I am same as you they received mine 6-20 and they have no record.. What they fial to tell you is that it sits in the mail room for 3 weeks
-
Just put them in your checked baggage. I did it...several times, we'll leave it at that.
I wanted cases and cases lol not a few cartons
-
I smoked until the day I had my heart attack.
I used to smuggle back a bunch of those $8/carton Marlboros. I still might. 10 cartons was enough savings at Vermont prices to pay for a plane ticket. Plane tickets cost more now. I tell Alla @I should start smoking again so we can save enough money smuggling cigarettes to pay for my ticket" She doesn't fall for it. I always bring back some cheap Ukrainian vodka for friends, it is probably not the kind of vodka you should give for gifts, I don;t drink so I wouldn't know, but it is genuine Ukrainian.
I never got caught with the cigarettes and all evidence is now gone. I burned it.
I was thinking of get rich scheme. I wanted to buy crates of cigarrettes and sell them cheap in America.. Marlboro 3 dollars a pack lol
Then my idea was ruined lol only allowed 2 cartons on the plane #$()@#$&_@#()
-
Heroin is cheap, especially that China White.
In my youth it was Peruvian Coke
-
That's ok, plenty of other cheap stuff here in America to kill you too.
You implying cheap liquor haha
I havent smoked in 2.5 years and no drink in 20years..
I need an addiction so what in America is cheap
-
I agree people seem to walk more. I went to Tbilisi I weighed 156.. When I returned to Seattle I weighed 146.. In 10 days I lost 10 lbs. Meat and Potatoes everday haha and cheese bread.. Lots of walking.....I wish I still smoked when I was there.. Dollar a pack for Marlboro.. If that was the price in America I would never have quit..
Almost approved
