  1. they touched me on valentine's day............i sued em for harrassment.....

 I might've just let them slide on that one! Especially if it means they are getting closer to looking at my file!... That is unless the file was just moved from one smaller box to a larger box! Sheesh. Just thinking about it makes me want to sue them for compensatory damages!

  2. Above post is correct. Technically, you are supposed to utilize passport photos that were taken in the last 30 days for all requirements during this process. However, I'm almost sure the practice for most is to use the photos they have... especially if the persons features have not changed in that period of time. September 2010 was not that long ago, but if she has changed her hair or done something random like gotten a tattoo on her face you may have a problem. Really, its your decision. I would advise you way both options... and if it bothers you just go ahead and have her take new ones when its closer to her interview and medical exam time. Especially if she still has time to do so. But whatever you decide to do... keep it to yourself!

  3. Example of what could happen before the law.

http://candleforlove.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=18398 (Did the visa so that can continue their sex habit on the step child.)

That is quite a story indeed.

Unfortunately, there is an argument for what is being done to you OP. The downside to the situation is that if two consenting adults choose to live their lives together they should be allowed to do so without interference. However, I guess this could really be deemed a play on the whole public charge aspect. If in turn the situation outlined in the above story (sans the child, of course) was to happen to you... the US would again be admitting someone into the country under false pretense made by a dishonest USC.

    Either way, good luck.

  4. Coming from an airline employee (international flights) standpoint... here is what our practice has been:

Ticket issued name must match a valid identification. If the person is currently married, the person traveling must show a copy of their marriage certificate reflecting current surname. So, if your wifes ticket matches the name on her valid passport that is fine. She can always travel to her home country on her valid country's passport. However, she MUST have a copy of your marriage certificate and her greencard in order to travel without issue for the return flight. If she does not have the marriage certificate she will have to pay to have the name changed on her ticket as the green card is what allows her return travel to the US.

    Hope that helps. Safe travels!

  5. Hey Vett! The post above is correct. If the co-sponsor that you have chosen can not prove that they were above the poverty line for the amount of people in their household your visa will be denied. I suggest going over that paperwork again and checking the numbers yourself. Also, try pooling resources to see if you can find another co-sponsor if that happens to be the last resort. I know that is a hard thign to ask of someone, but there is really no getting around that particular portion of this journey. Good luck.

  6. HI there,

I never recived the NOA2 and my i129F expired on june 2010. I did recived a letter that said it was approved but there arent any expiration dates on it. What can i do?

Yah... You'll need to clarify some of these questions before we can give you a valid suggestion. You said your application expried in June. However, your timeline says that you received your Packet 3 in May. Are you saying thats incorrect? Did you not turn in any information from Packet 3?

    A little confused here.

  7. See below!

A lady from the embassy called Natoy and told him she was emailing packet 3. In her email she said to send in DS-156, DS-156k, DS-157, DS-230. THAT IS WRONG!! You are to only send in DS-230pt. 1 for and interview date.

Natoy then went and applied for a non-impediment to show he has never been married. Runs around 8,000JA.

After we sent in the DS-230pt1 there was another problem becuase in the email it also told us to send to Monroe RD. NO WE WERE TO SEND IT TO OLD HOPE RD. So Nattoy went and filled out another DS-230 and sent it to the right address.

Then a week went by and still no packet 4. So Nattoy emailed kingstonivinfo@state.gov. He put are case number on the subject line which will get you a faster response. Then BAM!!! 10 minutes later they emialed us packet 4!!!!!

So now Nattoy has everything he needs for his interview. Except the medical and police certificate. He is going to kingston 2maro to get his police certificate and fingerprints which will cost around 4,000 JA. He has scheduled a medical which will cost 100US at the door and aroud 50us for each additional shots he may need. Which shouldn't be much becuase he has his past vaccination records.

Closer to the interview he will get the passport pics he needs and I also sent him 5 passport pics just incase. He will also pay his visa fees at the apprpriate bank. I sent him everything he needs from me so I think after he gets police certificate and medical and pays fees we will be good to GO:) Hope this has helped.

  8. Thank you guys. Its kinna opening my eyes, not gnna lie. Im still like #######?? She rather want to be apart for another year then being together with me and having a small wedding, Cause she told me: "What is one year on the rest of our lives together?" And she gets upset with me that thats not what I want.

    Hello Brian:

It seems to me, you are coming to reality with your own situation (as evidenced by the above post). Unfortunately, the situation isn't verry pleasant. As many others have said, I also want my big wedding with dancing, fancy dress, fresh flowers, pretty decor, etc etc. The reality of the situation is I don't have money for that and neither does my honey. Really, we don't have $3500 for that! That amount alone would be a blessing!

Your fiancee needs to use her imagination! There is so much that can be done with that budget! Soooo much! Additionally, as many have said... you should really try and save more than spend mega bucks on a fancy wedding. I mean everyone wants one, but when you're dealing with the reality of marrying someone from overseas, you're financial strains are greater. Once she gets here you have expenses in the thousands of dollars to deal with, just so she can gain her legal status here.

There is alot to think about here. Good luck.

** Good point Lisa C. Harsh not really, Truth absolutely!
