  1. Mike, good news to hear about passing the medical. Good luck next month with the interview. Pui will finish work at 3:30pm her time and hopefully she will be sending packet 3 after she finishes work. I'll be there next month so I'll be going with her for when she gets her medical, I got a feeling that will be a LOT of sitting and waiting.

Thanks Andy... Good luck on your fiancee's medical. Share us the good news.

  2. I got the I-797 RFE in the mail today. I am going to attach a jpeg of it so you can read it. If anyone has advice on how to best respond to this RFE it would be greatly appreciated. I am tempted to just copy every page of my passport and call it good but then again I don't want another RFE if I can prevent it.

We got the same RFE about a month ago. I sent a copy of my passport (all pages), plane ticket, itinerary and boarding pass. It took about 2 weeks to get our NOA2 after mailing the response. Good luck to you...

  3. -Affidavit of support (I-134)

-W-2 for the last 3 years

-Federal income tax last 3 years (form 1040)

    -letter of intent

    -phone bills

-pay stubs for the last 6 months

    -letter from the employer

    -bank statements last 6 months

Am I missing something? I'm ready to send all of these documents to my fiancé. I'm also thinking of using fedex. Is fedex a good choice? All comments and suggestions will be appreciated. Thank you!!!

  4. It seem that all of the links that are clicked on (Schedule an Appointment, Returning Resident Application, and K-Visa Appointment Scheduling) have that disclaimer at the bottom. It appears that they used the same form for entering your data and just changed the link name and where it eventually sends you on each one. I think you will be ok. If you are worried you can always call the call center to verify your appointment. The call center phone number is 214-571-1600 for U.S. callers. I hope this helps.

This is what happens when web designers don't clean up there page designs. :bonk: :bonk:

    John

I called the number you gave me and I was able to confirm my fiancé's interview date. I forgot to ask about the warning message on the bottom of the page. Thank you for the reply. I appreciate all the comments and replies on my question.

  5. Hello VJ members! I tried to schedule an appointment for interview online, and I did. I went to www.ustraveldocs.com and click on K-Visa Appointment Scheduling. After I finished and got my schedule I went back and tried my password again but I noticed this message on the bottom. Warning! The category you have selected is intended for returning residents/SB- visa applicants only. If you do not belong to this category, please do not use this category to schedule an appointment. If you do so, and you are not a returning resident/SB- visa applicant, you will not be interviewed, even if you present yourself at the Embassy on the schedule date. Consequently, you will need to book another appointment under the proper category. Now I'm confused, is my appointment valid or not. Has anyone saw this message when they scheduled online? Please help....

  6. Hello VJ members! On form I-134 question #11, how long do you intend to support the person in question #3 in my case it's my fiancé. I think the answer should be to support her all her life or as long as we're together. I'm just curious as to what other VJ members answered on this question. Also do I need to indicate how much? Thanks is advance.

  7. No, you do not have to complete DS-160. All you need are the following info

    1. Passport number of your fiancee, place of issuance, date of issue and expiry

    2. Date of payment of the $350 visa (if paid after 2pm Manila time, use the next day's date)

    3. Password which should contain at least 1 Cap letter, 1 small letter, one special character (@#$%%^&*) and one digit.

You go here... http://www.ustraveldocs.com/ph/ScheduleanAppointment.html and click the K-Visa Appointment Scheduling.

When you go for the interview, you should bring with you DS-156 (2 copies), DS-157 (2 copies) and DS-156K (one copy). You can find and fill-up the forms here... http://travel.state.gov/visa/forms/forms_1342.html

Also, please see this link for complete requirements for K-1 Visa... http://photos.state.gov/libraries/manila/19452/public/Revised%20K1%20Instruction%20Packet%20_3__rtf2_001.pdf

    Goodluck!!!

Thank you! I got it, finally!

  8. Hello VJ members! My fiancee is looking through all the documents she needs for her interview, while waiting for the embassy to enter our petition into their system. She came across with these questions.

    1. Is it okay if she fill up the DS-156, DS-156K & DS-157 using her hand writing?

    2. What should she write in DS-156 question #26. How long do you intend to stay in the U.S.?

    3. On DS-156 question #32, do you intend to work in the U.S.? My fiancee wants to work eventually but if she answers yes there is a follow up question asking for the name of the company. Can she just answer No for now?

    Thanks for replies in advance.

  9. Only that if they have sent your paperwork to the embassy in your country yet. We found out our case number from NVC on Friday (11 Mar), but they said that they haven't forwarded our application to the American embassy in London yet. Fingers crossed it'll be next week. Also, I've booked my medical as I now have the LND number, so things are moving along! Thank goodness.

I called last week and according to NVC they have sent our petition to Manila, Philippines on 3-8-11. My fiancee tried to call the Embassy in Manila yesterday 3-13-11 to see if they received our petition yet and lady that she spoke with said that all they have right now is the email from NVC and they are still waiting for the hard copy. The lady adviced my fiancee to call again on Friday. Good luck on yours...

  10. Hi Everyone,

I just received a RFE notfication from the USCIS. :( This is after they have been sitting on it for 5 months. I suppose this is the first time that they have reviewed my case. Does anyone have any experience of how long it typically takes after the USCIS receives the requested information to approve? Would my file go back to the end of the list or would they review it right away? I wonder what more information they need from me.....

    Back to waiting......

RFE is not that bad, I know your thinking that it will delay your petition but at least now you know that they are working on your application. I also got a RFE on my 5th month. They asked for a copy of my passport so after sending the copy of my passport to USCIS i got approved in less than a week. But i think it depends on the RFE. I hope yours is not that complicated. Good luck!
