lvcouple2010 got a reaction from I AM NOT THAT GUY in Government Shutdown?
Democrats had control of both the House and Senate in addition to the White House for the entire year in 2010. The Federal Budget year begins in October. Hard to blame the minority party (in this case Republicans) when they had absolutely no say in the matter for most of the budget cycle.

I'm a dad. I would tell my son to go be with his girl and be happy. You can have another renewal of vows whaen his situation gets sorted out. Your dad would likely tell you the same. Dads make sacrifices for our kids. It's what we do becuase we love you so much

Very happy for you and your loved one! Honestly, because I wish that no one had to wait five+ months for a procedure that takes 15-30 minutes.
However, very disappointed that the "first in, first out" process is not being followed at CSC
Still, all the best and smooth journey the rest of the way for you guys!

    Warning: vent to follow...
Why on Earth does it take 5-7 months to review a package that should take not more than 30 minutes to go through? Oh, and we get to pay $450 for this too, LOL!!!
This part of our government is broken!
    OK, I feel better now!

lvcouple2010 got a reaction from B_J in Ronald Reagan isn't worthy of praise on his birthday
Ronald Reagan was the single biggest factor in the fall of the Iron curtain and freedom for millions of people around the world. He is beloved by Americans on both sides of the aisle and was perhaps the most respected American leader (note: "respected", not loved or adored) of the 20th century. We could use a man of his caliber in the White House today.

One of the really nice things about the USA is that we are a "melting pot" made up of peope from every corner of the globe who all come here seeking something: freedom, love, success, whatever. You will not have to try very hard to find others who share your experiences and perhaps even your culture and background. Although there are no gaurantees that things will work out, I am certain that you will enjoy the benefits of what in my opinion is the still the beacon of freedom: The United States of America! Can't wait to welcome you to the USA and good luck on your journy!
