His sentence started with "Since I got GC"! What else can he mean?? Obviously, this is all he cares about. He is not asking for relationship advice. He is asking on how to stay in the country and not live with his wife. If he was acting in good faith he would not be asking advice here. He would go for marriage counseling. People like him is the reason why we all have to wait for such a long time for our loved ones to come here. I try not to judge people and give them benefit of a doubt. However, this is crystal clear. GC is first... Not only that he took advantage of another person and likely made this person (USC) miserable. Not only that he also made her family miserable. Not only that he took advantage of the system. People like him make us all miserable by waiting. USCIS is not o blame for the wait. They do what they can to prevent such things from happening. He is the reason, and people like him. People like him made Morocco consulate so tough that people that truly love each other cannot be together. I do not know how many desperate posts I have read about Morocco consulate just because of people like him. Now this poor woman will have an obligation for 10 years!

To All - remember that we are not here to judge anyone, just help, give advice on what's the best way to deal with the mess someone put themselves in. So please restrain yourselves from any judgmental comments...it's pretty annoying, no one is asking what do you think about this VJ member and what she has done. She simply asks what's the best way to proceed.

I agree that we should not judge. However, I agree with previous posts that we should not help people that committed crime of entering this country illegally. I live in California and I am tired of those illegals eating up my taxes!
They don't pay taxes and they receive all the benefits.

I think USCIS is as efficient as any other government office. No more or less. It is just the matter of dealing with the government. By default, you do cannot expect much. Have you ever dealed with DMV? I think USCIS much more efficient...

I am sorry to hear this, Al. However, I think this is for the best. Maybe, USCIS is not such an enemy. Maybe the length of the process actually allowed you to see her true face. Imagine if that happened after you signed binding Affidavit of Support! You should be happy! Cheer-up, Buddy!

Buddy! What happened is great! You just have not realized it yet! The fact that she already had someone from UK already tells you something. In addition, you do not want to hold someone next you just because they are afraid of deportation. You don't need this unstable psycho! Enjoy your life, buddy and forget about her. Imagine if she would come here and then everything would fall apart and you would be responsible for her for 10 years!! There are 1,000 great girls around. I know exactly how you felt: stuck at home waiting.. Forget it and move on!

This is great!! However, I am with Republicans: we have to stop spending. I am tired of all these useless government programs which I have to pay taxes for. I am not a huge fan of their religious agenda but I think fiscally they are right. We have to stop living outside of our capabilities like irresponsible humans that get $100K in credit card debt and make everyone else pay for it.

Guys! I started appreciating the fact that this process is so long. I think they are doing this on purpose, and the purpose is good.
    1) For people that did not spend enough time together it allows to test their feelings.
    2) For fraudulent applications it allows to weed-out fraud.
    3) For people that know each other well it allows to think about their relationship and teach TO APPRECIATE EACH OTHER! This is true for my case. I learned how much I appreciate my fiancee. We will not waste our lives arguing. We will enjoy every second together!
In either case this is good!
    Think about it!

It is hard to relate for me as we do see each other a lot in person and skype every day. I think this is a problem that you don't. It doesn't matter how strong the feelings are you WILL drift away if you do not see or hear each other every day. I think you should fight for it. I will give you one example: my fiancee from Russia obviously could not come to visit me during this process. I live in San Diego 30 mins away from the boarder with Tijuana. We felt heart-broken because of the distance so I rented apartment for her in Tijuana, she took a live of absence and moved to Tijuana for 3 months. We lived together. I did have to wake up every morning 3:30 to make it in time for work (to cross the boarder) but at least we were together for 3 months. I do not know where your fiancee lives but maybe you can do something similar (Canada or Mexico). Or at least, please, do talk every day! This is important. This is inevitable that you will arguments as this process is very tough. This is a challenge, a true test of your feelings. You have to look inside yourself, and see if you still love him. If you do, I would fight! This process is a true test. I spoke to my fiancee the other night and we agreed that this is good that this process is so long. We did not need to test our feelings but we learned to appreciate each other. Now we know that we will love each other to the rest of our lives and nothing will happen between us. This process helps you to appreciate your other half.

I personally think that this may ruin your relationship. If you married him you trusted him originally, right? In your e-mail I did not see true indicators of him cheating on you or sneaking behind your back. I think if you love him you should go ahead with the process. Otherwise he will get an idea that you do not trust him and this is devastating for future relationship. I would rather jump in and regret rather then regret that you did not do it.
