I would upload the transcripts to be safe if I were you...

I think they would want either the full IRS-certified tax return OR the transcripts

I will call tomorrow to the IRS and ask for a Tax Transcript just in case they ask me for one.

Do you know if they send checklist like on the process like when you're trying to get the visa? I'm a little bit traumatized of receiving one of them, i'd like to evade them. I have to say that when you are filling the N-400 online, they ask for the Tax Forms so you can show documents referring to you and your spouse, but also they asked for 'bank accounts, leases, mortgages, or birth certificates of children' and we attached also the birth certificate of our daughter, so i hope they don't ask me for more documents but just in case, i'm going to be ready with my IRS Tax Transcript to have it with me on the interview, you never know.

There's also a section where it says that you can attach ANY document you think it may work as a proof and we attached 5 different pictures from these last 3 years, let's see if it works. 😋

  2. Hello everyone!

It's been a long time since i was here and now after almost 3 years it's time to apply for the naturalization and i have a question that i'm pretty sure that you can help me.

I'm about to do the online filling of the N-400 and i have the next documents: birth certificate of my wife (US Citizen), our daughter's birth certificate with our names on it, the last 3 tax forms done together as married (2015, 2016 and 2017) and the marriage certificate. The marriage certificate I have is the original one from when i applied for the Green Card back in 2015, so the date it shows it was printed is 2015, do you think that will be a problem? I've already ordered a new one but it's taking too long to arrive and i'd like to start the application the soonest possible due that i'm on the 90-day rule and i'm able to start the application.

Also, with all the documentation I've mentioned, do you think that will be enough documents to process the N-400?

    Thanks in advance to all!

    Hi,

You can file up to 90 days before the 3rd year anniversary of your G/C, not 6 months.

    Brian

Thanks for confirming, Brian! That's why I wanted to come here to solve my questions. In the meantime, i'll start preparing for the process, at least won't be so complicated like the I-130 was...

  4. Hello again!

I've been away from this forum since a lot of you helped me to go along the process to get the Green Card and now the day for the Citizenship is getting close and I'd like to know any of the topics where I can follow a guide to know how to proceed, when can be started (I've been told I can start the process 6 months earlier of the day of 3 years). So, where do I start?

    Thanks!!

  5. Hello again, it's been a long time since i written!

I finally came to the US and now that i want to start working, they're telling me that i have to wait 30 days until i get my social security number, without that i know that i can't make anything, but there any way to get it on a printed document and start with the driver's license or work?

Otherwise, i've paid the immigration fee before moving here and i don't see the tracking number, they told me that has to start with 3 letters followed by 10 numbers, but i don't see anything!

    Thanks to all of you!

  6. VISA APPROVED!!!

It was a fast process, we had all the documents that they told us to bring and we don't had any problem. On the interview, the consul asked me about when we married and how whe met, and some simplu questions that we don't had any doubt to make a fast answer.

Thanks a lot to all ofyou for helping me with the questions that i had all this time that take the entire process!!

  7. Hi again!!

In more than a week i have my interview and i'm starting to be excited! I have all my paperwork ready and checked, my medical appointment schedulet and all of that, at least we will enjoy our staying at Madrid that weekend, and later, on Monday, the awaited day! I will tell you how all went and the result.

For those that are waiting the interview to be scheduled, be really patient!!

  8. Tomorrow it's our 5th wedding anniversary and is the best reason to get the interview scheduled, hope that it
becomes true and celebrate both. I'm lucky because my bride have double nationality (USA-Spain),
so she's with me these stressed days
Congratulations one more time to those who got their interview scheduled and patience to the others like me that we are waiting ours!
