Yesterday marked my 3rd month of practicing my profession here in Bay Area, Northern CA. It helps me and my husband a lot. We were able to buy the things we need and start our family savings. I passed my driving test last Nov & have been driving since then. God is so good. I can't thank Him enough. PS: If you live around San Francisco and you need a SPA acknowledged by the Philippine Consulate, I can give you information. I did it last Monday.

Well, the paperwork we're gonna do before our 2 years will be removal of conditions, that is to remove the conditional permanent status and switch it to the ten-year permanent resident status or green card good for ten years. Then if your wife would like to become a US citizen, she would file for naturalization I think a year after being approved with the removal of conditions.

I will do it ahead of your wife and son so lucky for you, I can help you with that again. Hehe... it's my pleasure. I hope you're all doing great. Take care of the wife and baby. Keep in touch! =) PS: Sorry for the late reply. Im in Chicago right now, visiting my siblings. Will be back in Cali next month and hopefully pass the horrific behind-the-wheel test! Haha!

I like the US so far. I'm just trying to get a job after my CLS license was issued last month. I had my 1st interview and hopefully i'd get a follow-up. I want to practice my profession here then hopefully proceed to medschool if i can afford it. Yes, we do need USCIS processing again 90 days before our second anniversary of port of entry date. I will do it on January 2013.

After 3 months of waiting, my professional license was issued. Had my first interview & it went great. On vacay in Chicago with siblings right now while waiting for my 2nd & 3rd interviews. Will take behind-the-wheel test when I'm back in California next month then hopefully get the job and with God's help, get into medical school =)

California CLS (Clinical Laboratory Scientist) license. I am planning to get into medical school but still unsure. It would be very expensive. Still in the process of figuring out where to get funds that would be enough for me to finish MD. I consider Stanford but UC Davis is closer to where I live right now. So sorry for the extremely late reply. So busy with work and wifey duties

You're welcome Brent. Sorry I wasn't able to respond earlier. I'm so glad you already have your wife and baby with you. I hope they are both doing well, you know, with the adjustment to the new place and people. If you have any questions about follow-up paperwork, don't hesitate. Take care always. God bless you and your family =)

I love it so far because I'm with my husband everyday. We live in a nice gated community here in Fairfield Northern CA and the place is clean and solemn. Haven't been to famous places though because my husband is busy with work and I am preoccupied with trying to learn how to drive and waiting for my work license to be approved so I can work in a hospital here. Hopefully it won't ta...

Congratulations on the interview date and goodluck. The time from interview til the date the beneficiary will receive the visa varies. In mine it took 6 days. It was mailed to my home. But some consulates will allow pick-up. So maybe you can ask the US consulate in Bogota if they allow visa pick-up a few hours or days after the interview. About me, I'm already here in California.

I-551 sis is the application for permanent GC. Wala ka ng dapat gagawin. The immigration officer took care of it at your POE. All you have to do is wait. Sinabihan ako sa POE na 3 months but not more than 6 months ko mareceive ang GC ko but it took almost a month lang. If you can sis, follow-up mo na lang sa USCIS by calling their customer service line. You should get it from their website uscis.gov

yung POE ko sis, di sila strict and walang mga tanong2x, nag finger print lang ako and nag sign yun lang. dont worry, you will be fine sis, as long as wala na unsa ang sealed sa envelope, and besides they will know if its intentional or not, just explain lang to them na wala kaayo na ayo pag dala sa courier and layo kaayo imoha place sa manila. i think they will understand... dont worry, you will be fine!!! =) HAPPY TRIP!!!!

@melissa_endrie: Thank you so much sis. I'm so relieved after reading your comment. I hope dili strict and IO nga mameet nako puhon para di ko madugay sa POE.
@RLCSgf: I'm sorry, I hope you will get your visa very soon. Yes, I know about the CFO guidance and counseling seminar. I took it in advance last December when I also had my advance medical exam. I will send it to you as a personal message kasi mahaba info. Hehe =)

Then me and my husband heard the long-awaited words "Your visa is approved!" Thank you so much Lord for everything. Thanks to VJ and all to all of you. Will write my review as soon as I can. God bless us all =)

Thank You Lord for giving us another chance to be reunited after 10 long months and also for my husband's safe flight. I'm on cloud #9 right now. Can't be online much. Have to savor the days that we're together. Catch you up later guys! =)

I went to the office of the NBI again this morning to ask them to change the purpose of my NBI clearance. Last Friday when I renew it, I wrote on their form "For travel abroad purposes" as what I read on Packet 4 information from the USEM MNL website. But I learned that some COs want it to be specific. It has to be "For travel to the United States of America". Fortunately, they had managed to change it but I'd still come back on the 14th to claim it.

No guides at all. In fact, the NBI branch here doesn't give us a separate form. They just stamp the back of the old personal copy of our NBI clearance and that's where we'll write the facts. What's posted on their wall was the requirements and the different prices for different purposes, that's all.
