yes Babalu that makes perfect sense! the lady looked in file or something and said its not showing anything that they will ask to see her HK police certificate, but still we are submitting what we have and have already submitted a request to HK police in regards to gaining a police certificate from them, just incase we get rfe
-
I am wondering the same thing! I still think they will need one from her.. its making me worried so we are sending every nvc paperwork we can and submitting a request to HK police and hoping they will send us or atleast one to the nvc since nvc is not sending me a letter or document requesting from HKP unless they are the ones that mail the letter, who knows the lady told me its not showing that they are going to need one from HK, but i will keep you all updated..

Paid my IV Application and processing fees! also wife filled out the DS260! and more good news is I called NVC to inquire about obtaining a police cetificate from hong kong as she worked there for 2 years, but the lady at nvc told me all she will need is her canadian police certificate! yay!

You include it with your's . But don't go by what happens to others because you dont want to make yourself look weak if you qualify on your own. They look at your last tax return. They look at how many dependants you claimed. You claimed yourself, so thats 1 and if you claimed any dependants, like your wife etc etc. Thats what they go by for deciding your current family size. You did the I864ez? If you have any savings, life insurance, ira, 401k, include a copy of that , give last statement etc. You own your house? if so send a copy of your deed. As long as your income is over the poverty line then your good. Don't worry. I been thru 2 interviews and when they pulled out my i864 all they did was look at line 6d on my 1040 income tax form, then at line 37 on 1040 and said "your ok". you can have a completed additional i864 with you if your really worried. Have your co-sponsor fill it up and notarize it and have it with you at interview and if for some reason you get denied for financial reasons then pull it out and submit it right there. You dont want to bring in a co-sponsor unless you absolutly have to.
Thanks BabaLu!

I paid my AOS fee yayyy only bill Ive been happy to pay, also I have a question. I make just over 23k a year 125% for me as a household of 2 (me including my wife) is $18,212. I am thinking of getting my father or my friend who makes $$$$ to be a joint sponsor just in case, I read of others making similar to my salary were denied for financial reasons. My main question is when I send in the AOS packet do I submit the joint sponsor I864 as well as mine in the same package or 2 different packages? thanks so much for the help.

It's nice to hear all the news about NOA2, I'm hoping to get mine soon. It is normal for some people to not get any touches?
yes! i didnt get any touches, any text or email... i dont even think its been updated on the uscis website... all i got was a big suprise in the mail when i came home a couple weeks. dont be discouraged cause lack of touches. soon all of you will be getting your noa2s!

its so awesome to see others getting approved! soon enough we will all be approved and in the nvc stage!

Congrats welcome to NVC it goes by very fast.
unfortunately my nvc journey wont be as fast as my wife worked in Hong Kong for a couple years so now it will be a little bit of a snag while waiting on the police clearance

Thanks! I cant believe this is happened! I feel sorry for everyone but im sure this is hope for all... do not even bother with the touches I was slightly depressed to see others touched here and there and honestly quite jealous of raffy getting groped but still like you I see no update or anything online.

What were your thoughts, after reading http://www.visajourney.com/news/2010/02/07/department-of-state-to-close-k-3-visas-if-i-129f-and-i-130-petitions-approved-and-received-together/ ??
After reading that i have decided to go with the CR1 visa thanks! I guess I will open a CR1 thread next!
thanks for the help guys!

She does not have permanent residence status she is there on a work visa is this still acceptable? Also would Calgary based us embassy be ok or are all interviews done in Montreal. I guess I will go for the cr1 visa then. Main reason wanted to do k3 is that it was said to be faster than cr1 etc. Thanks guys
Okay to use PO Box as address in I-130?
in IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures

I would say yes, if that is all you have address wise, we used my wifes po box and had no problems. I'm guessung its mostly for mailing reasons? But if you have a street/house address why not use that
