LOL my RFE is 7 pages long! lucky for me everything on the RFE is already at NVC they just havent finished processing it yet
-
If your case is not touched at all, it doesn't mean anything. I got ZERO touches from my NOA1 date of Sept 2nd and I still got approved despite that.
so true! I had ZERO touches as well not an email or a text, only a surprise waiting for me in the mail box when i came home from work..

congrats binny! thats so exciting!

lol im just glad my AVR had changed forever and a day it said waiting on documents lol. but it didnt have to say we were missing anything or something was incomplete. I was so worried since we sent in our documents via snail mail and had not done EP and it was around the snow storm something got lost they could have atleast updated it to say documents were received and they were reviewing them. lol oh well hopefully soon will have CC!

AVR reported I had an RFE...ahhhhh but then after calling and speaking to an operator, she said it was all of the civil documents to accompany the ds260 lol. so i was like freaking out thinking they lost them and then I remembered the call yesterday saying 2 different packages started processing on 2 different days, so I asked her if that was a possibility she said oh yeah that is very possible since it says another one didnt start processing until last week and to give a call back next week and see how things are going. what a relief lol

Find a hobby or buy new video game or something to pass the time visit your spouse as often as budget allows talk/chat or even better video chat! that is what helps me through so far I've rebuilt 2 engines, beat 3 video games got a new video game that was free with gift card and it is more than a days worth of playing I'm 3 weeks into the game and still lots to do... get ready its a long journey ahead...good luck on a speedy process though

So my AVR has said waiting for documents for the longest time. Decided to call today and the lady confirmed she received a package probably aos...and it started processing on 31st of jan. And also another started processing on the 3rd of feb... which is probably the civil documents for the DS260...we did not do EP my wife just wanted to mail her docs as she doesn't have acess to a scanner and didn't wanna wait even longer for me to receive so whatever she wants to do is usually what we do haha. Anyways I hope to hear something in the next couple weeks
congrats to all you case completers I hope the rest of us will soon follow

Didn't get a chance to post yesterday....but we got the Case Complete email !!!!
"Dear Sir/Madam: All documentation necessary to complete the National Visa Center's processing of your case has been received. As soon as an interview date has been scheduled, the applicant, petitioner and attorney (if applicable) will be notified." We weren't sure what the email meant when we got it so we called and confirmed with an NVC operator. She said the case was complete, ( we were still able to log into the payment portal - no SIF) and that we should know our interview date by this Friday!! As of today, no email yet. Hoping to get an interview in the 1st or 2nd week of March!! Even with the all the snow days, we still managed to get through the NVC process in only 26 days!!!
wow thats awesome! just curious, did your AVR message update or did it remain the same? mine has remained the same but when i call the lady repeats a different message as if its the one thats suppose to be there. something about documents were received etc... ughh but when i dont speak to operator says waiting for documents..

congrats! hopefully I will get my approval soon too!

age is not a problem as long as you are truly in love with eachother and can prove it... also i have seen other couples with an even bigger age gap than yours so i wouldnt worry to much, my wife is 29 and im 24, havent had any problems yet...

hello hopefully soon (God willing) we will be done with nvc, my wife is going to montreal consulate. however she is from Philippines and has no immunization records or medical records etc... she is wondering if she needs every immunization on that list or? I told her to go get a blood titer test done and tell one of the local clinics that she plans on immigrating to the US, as I heard it costs $$$ to get the shots at the medical exam. thanks for any bit of help you all can offer!

my wife is from phlippines working in canada, just apply regularly through US for I-130 as mentioned and then the interview will be in canada

Age is just a number....love has no boundaries, my wife is 5.5 years older than me... shes a beautiful filipina
she is shy of her age or our age gap kind of at times but we love eachother and its all that matters... she doesnt look very old at all!
good luck!

We got a checklist for the exact same thing. We did not do electronic processing and filled out the DS-260. I sent in my documents with the original package and called after we were notified of the checklist. I talked to a CSR and she argued with me for 15 min on how we HAD to do the DS-230 not the DS-260 because we didnt opt in for EP. I explained to her about the change and she still said we have to fill out the DS-230. I filled it out and sent it in and specifically mentioned on your cover letter that they had already received the original documents needed.
After that was received, we got another checklist because they were missing my police clearance. However, they lost it. I sent it in...I triple checked that package before sending it off originally. They didnt take responsibility for losing it, just kept saying it was missing. I had to get a new one done and send it in.
Both checklists delayed our NVC process by a month.
Ahhh that sucks! I had 2 different CSRs tell me 2 different things, one said I HAVE to do the DS-230 because we did not opt in for EP. The other said oh well since youre going through montreal all you need to do is the DS-260 and give us a call back on Feb 10 to see how were doing, so I will call back probably this friday and see where things are going, and then I will call again on the 10th and see if theres any progress or what not. I am hoping we will not have to send in the DS-230 I read on the site it specifically says not to send in a DS-230 if previously completed a DS-260 as it will cause delays, also on the online application website it says "If you have not already done so, submit your supporting documentation (as listed on the Documents The Applicant Must Submit web page) to the National Visa Center. Upon receipt of your supporting documentation, the National Visa Center will review your DS-260." so we will see where this goes. The CSR told me that they received some mail from us last week but she is not sure what it was or anything so now I guess the waiting game continues.

a whole lot of painfully slow time goes by thats about it really. i wouldnt rely on the online thing either as i never got a touch... email or text until one day I almost crapped myself when I received NOA2 in the mail was so excited! called my wife and she was just as ecstatic she was screaming and squealing haha I was more or less trembling with excitement to see Approval Notice! good luck and youre at the right place for guidance, if it wasnt for this place id be lost.
-
im not sure. Maybe you can ask them to send the stuff directly to the consulate since they are originals I assume. Better just call the NVC on monday first thing to get it sorted out.
thats the plan, thanks!
-
Really? Will they atleast mail the documents back lol?

The DS-260 is really new - it changed in October of 2010... and only certain countries are eligiable to do the DS-260. Montreal is one of the lucky few cities that is eligiable for it and therefore MUST send every document in by email. Honestly - I would end up calling the NVC almost EVERYDAY asking them questions. The website is contrradictory and nobody seemed to know what was going on...so i encourage everyone before taking any actions - call the NVC to double check if you are doing the correct thing - they send RFEs for the dumbest little mistakes..
Im confused, every document has to be sent by email?? JF_CIC did ds260 online and mailed in his documents, that is what i did? ahh lol i hate this new procedure but will be happy if somehow speeds it up the process. I guess I will call again next friday, but daily to check the AVR lol.
-
haha had me worried with the first CSR, he said i couldnt do the ds260 cause we didnt do electronic processing and had already mailed in our documents etc, however didnt seem right to me as its not electronic processing so i called back hoping for a different rep and sure enough she explained it clear as day, that everything is fine since we did the ds260 and we basically just have to wait and to call back in 2 weeks and see how things are going. im so excited!!! i think i will call back next week haha, however i frequent the AVR system daily lol. I think they seriously need to update there systems to distinguish the DS230/DS260 etc to avoid confusing themselves as well as us.
-
going through montreal got a checklist to do the ds230 though we already did ds260? called to ask a csr and the guy said we were in eligible to do the ds260 since we did not enroll in EP and had to do a ds230, weve already submitted our documents via snail mail, im slightly confused?
edit: lol was waiting on hold for a different csr, the lady knew more of what i was trying to say and basically said same thing as another member, just wait a couple weeks and call again basically just waiting for them to review the ds260 and what not, phew was freaking out for no reason. lol

For hong kong police my wife wrote a letter requesting a police cert, printed out a copy of the documents required page a copy of noa2, a receipt of payment for IV processing and a barcode cover sheet from the online ceac portal. My wife just called the other day and they said they are processing it so maybe its worth a shot for you guys?
