The one-way ticket she had most probably gave her away. Consider buying a two-way ticket he next time she tries with proofs of her ties to Canada. If she flies from a smaller airport, she'll still go through the customs at her POE. You said you plan on marrying soon and I assume it's to her.

If the relationship is legit, how is it fraud? Genuine relationships and genuine evidences have been deemed to not be convincing by many COs. Couples present tonnes of legit photos and other documents and still get denied because a CO is not convinced. OP knows he has a legit relationship but it does not end there, he has to convince the CO. A fraud would be trying to show a relationship when there is none. Whether the money is the beneficiary's to begin with or not, they are simply trying to show some interraction between themselves. Unless he is sending thousands, I do not see how it shows one buying the other. This is not much different from saving your chats for the purpose as it is ok to chat with your spouse but why do you need to save them? And everytime you send that 3 letter email saying "I love you" which you did in order to print out as part of the proof of your relationship, it's all fraud. The money transfer purpose is to show some interraction between the two and not to stage a business transaction. After all said and done, I dont see any fraud in gathering evidence to show interractions between couples in order to convince a CO. A fraud would be trying to show a relationship when there is none or falsifying documents, which neither applies in this case.

The visa is good for 6 months, so you do not have to use it right away. You can as well ask for the interview to be pushed forward to a later date. But I do not understand the K-1 and the CR-1. Was it a K-3 you meant instead of the K-1?

Sorry to hear that. If only you had been familiar with VJ you wouldn't have needed a lawyer. Your lawyer pretty much hustled you.

Tero got a reaction from Luckywife2007 in Do you edit your chat logs?
When I first filed for a K-1 visa, I saved all the Yahoo Messenger chat we'd had as a text document. We have been using words like husband, wife, and marry throughout our chats. I had to edit and replace with fiance, fiancee, and engaged as necessary in order not to raise any doubts about the level of our relationship at he consulate. It was quite easy to edit, but before we could present our chats at he interview, we were denied for another reason. However, it is still important to carry along as evidence, as you never know! Also, I've heard printscreens could work as well.

Sorry about your ordeal. While reading through your post, I was thinking about suggesting an attorney, but I saw you've gotten that covered already. I hope your attorney turns your case around for the better. Good luck.

Your questions can be answered if you do as instructed on the form. Contact the consulate for directions.

Obviously, you are not happy with your relationship as well. Maybe you should work on yours first before offering advice to the OP. And I think you need that "Best of luck" more than the OP.

My understanding of a working visa is that an Employer has to file for you. You sound like a self employed, and I do not think you can just file from outside the country for a work visa for yourself. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Sounds like your girl is fishing for foreigners. You might want to get to know her very well first before you continue. What else is she not telling you? You can get the previous petitioner's contact from her and try to have a friendly chat with him. Find out why he did not follow through with her (hopefully their stories match). There may be other things you would find out from him that your girl would not let you know. If all goes well, then you can have him withdraw any pending petition so you can initiate yours again.

It is hard for me to imagine that a girl would be willing to marry two different men in a span of less than 6 months. Marriage is not a joke, it's a serious institution. If the first guy broke her heart, I don't see how easy it would be for her to meet someone else, fall in love, and be ready for marriage again in just a total span of 6 months. From the OP's story, when you factor the time between filing a petition and an NOA2, it seems she jumped on the OP's boat almost immediately the first one did not work out. OP, please you need to rethink this again thoroughly. She hid some facts from, got you proposing immediately after her last, ...are you sure she really loves you? As bitter as it may sound, I smell a rat ...or a fish.
